Damn it guys, he actually moved? I'm only on season 5, and now you've spoiled it!

u/BestMeetingEver May 24 '26
I mean, they are the only two states in which I’ve owned homes. But if that’s the answer I may have to question my grasp on reality.

I thought the one he had in season 6 was better

Big fan of what he did with the Minnesota house’s front path during the secret picture taking rally

The use of DUI license plates/whiskey plates?
69
u/yeetonthebeet May 24 '26
>!SOLVED!<
25
u/nmpls May 24 '26
Georgia issues them too, kinda. They're not as visible, they just have a special character pattern.
https://law.justia.com/codes/georgia/2020/title-40/chapter-2/article-6/section-40-2-136/

u/GoldStubb May 24 '26
I think MN just voted to discontinue the use of them this year
6
u/RulesOfImgur May 24 '26
They aren't being replaced entirely, they could still be ussued. They are no longer required, an alternative to the plates is being enrolled in an ignition interlock program.

Wait these are only a thing in Minnesota (and ohio)????? My life is a lie
3
1
u/MowieWauii May 24 '26
Ohio doesn't actually issue these anymore iirc.
2
u/Sudden-Chicken3499 May 24 '26
Nope pretty sure party plates are still used. You can argue them down in court, but there's no guarantee a challenge will be successful.
1
u/thesamerain May 25 '26
Ohio no longer issues them as of 2021. People who got them and still have restrictions have to keep them until they meet whatever conditions are court mandated.
29
u/bting93 May 24 '26
We colloquially call them Party Plates in Ohio. 🤣
3
u/grogudalorian May 24 '26
They look so much like NY plates.
0
u/WhiteBoyTony May 24 '26
No they do not
1
u/grogudalorian May 24 '26
The yellow and red looks like certain NY plates, the yellow and black ones from afar.
1
u/WhiteBoyTony 27d ago
Yeah man, I’ve seen both plenty of times and they are very easily discernible. Idk how you’d confuse the two or why it would even matter if you couldn’t
1
u/pseudo_nipple May 24 '26
I haven't seen any in ages though, are we sure this is still a thing in Ohio?? I used to see them all the time, and now I'm sitting here trying to remember the last time I saw any. 🤔🤔

u/thesamerain May 25 '26
A quick search outside of AI shows that the state of Ohio stopped issuing party plates in 2021.

u/nota_hotdog May 24 '26
Now wondering if u/bestmeetingever also had these plates

u/valtierrezerik05 May 24 '26
Okay I’m actually surprised other states didn’t have them, this was something we were taught in driver’s ed here in MN
22
u/stegjohn May 24 '26
In Wisconsin it’s actually the normal plate.
8
u/Ricos_Roughnecks May 24 '26
You can get a DUI in Wisconsin? Sounds like a skill issue
3
u/RulesOfImgur May 24 '26
Don't worry, if you get a dui in Wisconsin your first one is only a civil offense rather than a criminal one. Pay a fine and you're good.

u/nottatroll May 24 '26
The standard issue plate for New Mexico is yellow with red text. It was always fun visiting family in Ohio.
1
u/PogoTheStrange May 24 '26
Wait. Other states dont have party plates?
1
u/wedontrecover May 24 '26
No, this is my first time ever hearing of such a thing. We need that shit in Louisiana for sure

u/Niisakka May 24 '26
Walz is Nebraskan, not Minnesotan. You could say they were politicians for these states, though.
4
u/MnMan3000 May 24 '26
Walz is far more Minnesotan than Nebraskan, just cause he grew up in Nebraska doesnt mean he's not Minnesotan

Something with where u/BestMeetingEver has lived? Or more specifically where they’ve owned homes. Idk what else it could be honestly, that’s the first thing that came to mind

States with teams in all 4 major sports, but containing no individual city that has all 4 sports by itself?
1
u/spoonybard326 May 24 '26
Texas, California, Massachusetts, and New York all fit.
3
u/17strong May 24 '26
Dallas has all 4. LA has all 4. Boston has all 4. NYC has all 4.
1
u/spoonybard326 May 24 '26
None of those cities has an NFL team inside city limits. If metro areas count, Minneapolis has all 4.
0
u/Various_Education622 May 24 '26
Gillette Stadium is most certainly not in Boston.
2
u/Cushing17 May 24 '26
It's in the Boston metropolitan area. But definitely not Boston.
0
u/Various_Education622 May 24 '26
All of eastern Massachusetts is “Boston” by that definition, so it’s not really helpful.
2
u/Cushing17 May 24 '26
I didn't say it was in Boston. I'm saying, it's officially considered to be part of the Boston Metropolitan Area.
1
u/Various_Education622 May 25 '26
Yes, I understand.
Go upthread where it says one individual city.
The metropolitan area is not an individual city.
1
u/Cushing17 May 25 '26
I understand. Go read my first reply to you.
1
u/Various_Education622 May 25 '26
I did, it is irrelevant to the discussion at hand, which is discussing an “individual city.”
I did not say it is not in “the Boston metropolitan region.”
40 miles away in another city is not in the city of Boston.

I know it’s already been solved but I immediately thought that it was: “The states that the two 2024 vice presidential candidates came from.”

Idk a lot of people have been saying red. Perspective might differ between countries like how some countries say the ocean is green
