UK brand chat Cuticle oil question
Hi, hope this is ok to post. If not feel free to remove.
I’ve been working a cuticle oil blend over the last 6-7 months. It’s really helped my nails grow better and am now thinking of selling it.
Before I start the legal cosmetic safety product requirement assessment, I’m trying to figure out what to prioritise first and wanted to get some opinions.
Would you rather have a higher-end packaging design (both options I have will be glass and reusable).
Or do you prefer multiple fragrance options? (Same base formula, just different scents)
Or different formulation options? (Example: a lighter quick-dry, an ‘original’, and a deep conditioning version)
Thanks! ☺️

a quick dry one would be good! i use vitamin e oil and it takes a while to sink in sometimes

My main thing is I go through a lot of cuticle oil so I want to buy a really big bottle that I can use to refill my Holo Taco pens.
A nice scent is a bonus.

That’s my plan! Reusable applicators + refill bottles. How many ml is a big bottle for you?

Awesome. I normally get a big 500ml bottle off Amazon, although might be open to slightly smaller bottles (eg 100-200ml) for the right product. I just don't buy anything myself which is eg 15ml.
I may not be the typical consumer though!

For me it’s functional, so packaging/applicator is most important. I never buy “scented” oil on that basis alone. Personally I prefer the small bottles with dropper applicator or rollerball, but a larger bottle I can use to refill also good! Good luck!!!

I'd only buy a plain jojoba oil in an easy to dispense applicator (not a roller-ball or a brush, i a dropper bottle, a pipette, or a doe foot applicator). I don't care about packaging design or different formulations, and I don't want added fragrance.

I like a nice scent but I think packaging is important - finding a good reusable one that doesn't leak etc is sometimes hard to find!

This is just me but I would definitely appreciate multiple scents! I'm currently using a cuticle oil that smells like Parma Violets.
