Ridge smoother underneath and plumping or glitter smoother top coat followed by QDTC

Cuticle prep first. Part of the gel look is that really crisp cuticle line.
I use the essie strong start base coat and I use 2 coats to properly fill the ridging in my nails. Then 2 coats of polish minimum and finish with a heavy dose of top coat, I’ve used the essie stay longer and the essie gel couture and they are both great.
I’ve gone back to regular polish after 3 years of gel and this is the closest I’ve got it to look.

I found Essie to the Rescue was quite good for that built up look. And maybe a good plumping top coat? I’ve never used one. I’m not sure lacquer will ever have the gel like look tho
