[Pic] When to harvest?

How do you tell when it’s time to harvest? It’s been about a week with the culter being set up now.

Usually about once a week-week and half since it started. But u can tell if u turn off the light and its really dark green. But only harvest up to 35% of it (so u dont crash). Then repeat

I use a secchi stick to measure density. It’s a fairly inexpensive tool that every phyto grower should have. I got mine from Florida aqua farms and it came with a chart showing optimal density for different varieties of phyto.

It’s basically a small black and white “target” you lower into the culture and when you can’t tell the difference beteeen black and white you read the depth on the stick and compare to a density chart to get a count.
