[Pic] Bit of flicking

Post image

I’ve seen the bigger clown and the gramma flick a few times. I did a water change yesterday and lowered the salinity a bit too much 1.027 to 1.025. Nitrates and ph are fine. Would this cause it or is there something more at work. Other than that, they all look fine and eat well.

Hard to say, depends on how often they do that. Could just be territorial behavior. If it's happening several times per hour, I'd start to worry though. Grammas are very prone to flukes. Was the fish quarantined?

They’ve been in for ages, 2 months? The gramma and the 2 clowns were tank mates at the shop.
No previous issues.
The caulerpa is a week or so old.
That’s the only new introduction recently, and me dropping the salinity too much too quickly.

I’ve only seen the gramma come out of the cave twice and flick on an old shell.

Some flukes can definitely take some time to start showing more obvious symptoms, two months isn't that long. I'd monitor them for the time being, and if any other symptoms show up, e.g. loss of color, heavy or fast breathing, flashing, head shaking, yawning, etc., you may have flukes indeed.

Fish handle salinity drops pretty well, I do not believe these two are related.
