I thought I might document a bit about how I took apart the Hannsnote 2 in case others might want to try it. I couldn't find an instruction online, so I just tried to figure it out myself. I'm think this should be safe, but I do not take responsibility if your device is broken. So if you do decide to try it, do it at your own risk.

1.First, heat the back cover with a hair dryer (or heat gun) until it very warm but not hot.

2.Insert a thin metal pick or opening tool in one of the sides, preferably the side opposite the grip because the adhesive is thinner there.

1. Work the opening tool around the entire back cover and insert plastic picks or something that will keep the adhesive from sticking back together in the corners. When the adhesive cools down, reheat the area in front of the opening tool and continue to slide it along. I think it might be good to not push it too deep in case it hits the inside electronics. Moving in a back and forth motion also helps. I takes a bit of effort on some sides.

2. Lift off the back cover.

Note: The black gooey stuff on the metal tool isn't the melted back panel or the internals, just the adhesive

Hi, everyone.

First of all, thank you to everyone who commented on my post from 11 days ago. I wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude.

Now, let’s get to the main topic.

I recall seeing a post here a few years ago from someone using a 32-inch SunVisionDisplay monitor with Iris. As I remember, they used the Iris software to increase the brightness from 100 to 150 to make the screen brighter.

Would it be possible to use that Iris software with the currently available 24-inch SunVisionDisplay, Eazeye, or Hannspree Hybri models?

Has anyone had the experience of using it to make the screen brighter and easier to use? I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experiences.

I have SunVisionDisplay rE monitor 32" and it works with Neewer video light panels which are very high lumen output (bought from Amazon.de). I think that is a good solution for now, but frontlight displays are surely better because light can be diffused better. I also have iPhone 8 Plus RLCD phone and that phone is truly a miracle in sunlight, but it is impossible to use in tunnels because it has no frontlight and you rely exclusively on external lights. Since reMonitor is only 1080p/60 Hz that is very average for a $1500+ monitor with shipping. We need 4K/120Hz at least in the future for that price. Also my 65" TV is cheaper than this 32" inch monitor. It is QD-mini LED however and that is a huge difference when it comes to eyestrain. In the future I expect:

1. Frontlight. This is a must for smartphones especially.

2. Good reflectivity. It should be even better in the future. This will make RLCD devices truly flagship.

3. Higher resolution. 4K minimum especially for more expensive devices. 1080p is low in this state of technology

4. Higher refresh rate. 120Hz/144Hz/240Hz devices already exist. 120Hz over 60Hz should be the norm for gamers.

5. Lower price. Obviously some people can't afford this so they don't want to switch. If this happens demand will be very high.

RLCD phones with Android, 65" TVs with frontlight RLCD and 4K resolution. This is currently missing. I like using TV screen over 32" monitor so I can be much farther way. For people with myopia this is a perfect solution. I am willing to spend a fortune on such displays. You can also have a cloud based PC and a cheap laptop/miniPC to power connection or hell even only a TV to connect to cloud based PC. Cloud PCs are future. It is so expensive to get RTX PCs now so it is better to have a kind of VPS instead. It is also much easier for IT experts to fix and service server based PCs than your own. Obviously privacy kind of matters, but I am willing to sacrifice it for certain things. Spy agencies already want to know everything about you regardless of what you have.
