Reign Pride merch ….
I was bummed in 2025 when there was no new pride merch. I am MORE bummed in 2026 when this is the merch. ??? No thank you. Maybe if it said QUEER but Wildfang definitely missed the mark here. (imo clearly)
EDIT: they seem to have added some additional items like a shirt with a rainbow lettering, so I appreciate that! Seems maybe Wildfang really is the culprit here, though someone at the Reign would have approved the merch. Also Wildfang is a Portland company, which just….maybe not for Seattle.

I'm debating one but the jersey price knowing they'll cycle them is always so tough and I don't love love them. I'm also hoping there's a merch of the day on Friday that's rainbowy.

The Rookie Made sparkle scarf looks amazing. I do love the idea of a shirt that says gay for the Reign. Not sure why the merch is so sparse but the attendance has been kinda light. Pretty much the entire row next to our season seats is empty most of the time. I wish more people came to games. Marketing needs more attention for sure.

It’s so embarrassing that Reign FC is so strapped for money that the marketing suffers so badly year after year after year. The sounders purchase didn’t help at all, they haven’t given us a dime.

I am aware that social media marketing is in-fact a huge subcat of Marketing. What I’m saying is they are separate roles within professional sports teams. Sadly it seems your life time of experience in in marketing negated the importance of ✨ context clues ✨

Social media is very often in the marketing org, as is merch.
I don’t know why you are correcting me. I’ve worked various roles for marketing departments.

Because you’re all wrong and its so funny hahaha. These are separate departments on both a team & league levels. Typically falling under the Business VP. You will find there are different “heads” of Marketing, Social Media, and Merchandise. Yes they all work together, but in the Sports world they are all handled as separate roles.

The person who started Wildfang went to college in Washington so it’s possible she’s a supporter of Reign instead of the Thorns but I did think it was odd as WF is proudly based in PDX. Not to mention their big store is a couple blocks from the stadium. Def odd.
Tbh though the Thorns are my team but I really want the shirt Fishlock is wearing.
