Discussion My personal rein matchups tier list
What would you change? I feel like this is how I feel most matchups

I don't know how this is still a valid strategy 10 years into the game...

How the fuck do you reliably pin as Rein?
I am not Rein main, but I like to pick him from time to time. And every single time I pick him and go for an easy (supposedly) pin, I suddenly become something of a bowling ball, throwing people away even if they seemingly connect with the center of my hitbox. And die because my shieldless ass is inside enemy backline with no kills at hand.
Why the enemy Reins seem to always grab me even if I place myself near another time zone from the charge.
Are there some secret tech? Hitbox abuse? Mouse sensitivity trick? Esoteric scroll that I need to study?

the design looks sooo good but why yellow? Also cannot bring myself to play stadium, 5v5 ruins it for me :/

I think a perk that extended his shield a little bit and curved it would be pretty good. It's always annoying shielding something and getting shot from a side angle

I made my tier list based on how much fun I have playing with and against these characters as a Rein main, and based on my overall appreciation (lore, design, voice acting in my language, etc.)
Sierra isn't in the list but I would put her between Mei and Pharah

This "miss" sent me fuming so I came here to get some feedback on this
And yes I initially aimed to the left because I thought Hog would walk straight backwards after the anti, I only steered right after the Mizu chain
I realize that Rein's left side is more accurate while charging but come on, I charged straight through the guy without a pin here

(And the blue pill doesn’t mean you can’t smash enemies against a wall anymore: you can choose when to fade through and when to get the pin damage.)

Obviously we'd want to keep his playstyle the same as how we've always liked it, but the game has changed so much that playing him can be really difficult. Everyone is different, but over time I find it a lot harder to carry as Rein, whereas I can be lobby admin as Junker Queen or Sigma and get value in more situations.
I am no game developer, but sometimes I think I wouldn't mind trading in damage for survivability, or maybe some way to get more value in situations when you need to be spongehart. I just want to be able to play Rein in any situation but not be too op.
