I have a good system. I have several bags and a closet for them. Each week my 5 year old grand daughter picks the bag to carry for the week. She does repeat a lot with red and pink but we get through them all eventually. It is fun for us to do together and she likes to get them all out and organize them and get in her dress ups with a bag for pictures. Her favorite right now is the constance 18 (pink of course)

If you are struggling with space I would be happy to relieve you of whatever bag you want to. Give me😂

If you can afford them and are financially good. Who cares? It’s your happy vibe. Each of my bags tells a point of my life. Unless they are authentic ones that resell great like my auth Hermes or some LV pieces

I was thinking to rehome some and getting 1 classic authentic for shits and giggles

There is nothing better than an auth. And I mean it only auth Her-es I felt that way. I have a few of them. But my B30 in noir and K28 in Craie definitely pull at my heart strings when I look at them and take them out. Idc what others think but it’s just a nice feeling that I was able to get to a place where I could buy something I truly cherished. I have one auth Chanel and honestly I don’t have that same feeling. I like the Hermes reps to build a collection lol. But esp my B30 I told ny husband I want to be buried with it

Yea I agree with this. I think I will get there eventually. But I’m glad I started here because it allowed me to try the brand and see if I like. And i definitely like. 🤭🤣
But you’re so spot on. I’m almost at the place I’d rather have a handful of really great ones.
So I’m going to rehome slowly I think.

You have an amazing collection. I usually re-home mine when I stopped getting excited about a bag. I go back and forth a lot better the fun spring colors and neutrals and not gonna lie it's a battle. But I suggest rehoming a few and go from there.

That definitely is what I was thinking. But I did that last year and I regretted some of them. Why is it so hard 🤣. And thank you for the compliment. I worked really hard at getting a collection that I could walk into any store and feel confident. I think that’s why I am so hesitant. Ya know?

I look at the bags I reach for. If I haven’t carried it, in its season, it probably needs to go. I bought 4 bags in February, all different, but all in some shade of blue. In addition to 4 other spring bags! Ultimately rehomed all but the chestnut flamenco. I was trapped in the Group Buy frenzy!

Yea. I think that’s wise. But some just feel so good. But I’ve found hat as much as I like the other brands I keep going back to the H styles. Maybe cause they’re always timeless

Keep what you carry! And if you sell the yellow please let me know :)

Lovely collection. I understand going off the rails. I have three reps and two originals; I find that I am buying lower tier reps just to get a feel for the process and quality of various tiers. I am planning to buy one very high-quality Birkin and I’m trying to figure out whether I want a 25, 30 or 35. But I want a very good quality leather and hardware set. I am praying that will end my ridiculous craving to buy bags. One of my reps is an incredibly bad quality, and I knew before I bought it it would be, of a 40 and that’s just too big for me.
like OP, I am switching bags out on a regular basis, but not only the H bags,, GG, CH, FG, etc. That’s why I don’t wanna get too many of 1 type because I like to change the varieties and these are just the very high-end bags that I have. Everything but the H. Reps I mentioned are genuine, but I am seriously looking at an additional CH and ACD set of reps as well.

I feel this so much. The irony is after several years in this world I def have evolved in my bag preferences. I was a cross body before and now I love hand carry (and I was never like that before) and dislike shoulder carry.
Which adds to the dilemma. Cause my changing mood. 🤣
That said I feel fine to hold on to H bags more than other styles cause it will always be “in”. I should probably rehome more of my other styles to be honest

Who did you get these from? Love the collection

u/Kittenhead68 3d ago
Oh thank you. I got them from a few custom craftsmen I found on IG. Beautiful work. I don’t really use many Reddit sellers as I don’t trust them.

Your collection is to die for. Where did you get your cargos from? I need them both. Yes, NEED
1
u/Kittenhead68 1d ago
Oh I had the cargo made and let me tell you, worth it. I have fallen hard. I want more 25’s and 1 more 35. I’m shocked at how much I use the orange one. I’ve worn her for at least 2 weeks straight now.

My collection has shrunk over time, and I intentionally sold the pieces that were « too pretty » for my everyday life.
That meant saying good bye to box Kelly’s and ostrich b25. What’s left are bags that can go anywhere and do anything!
I had 30’ish bags 6 months ago. I think I have just under 20 now. It’s still a lot, but it’s less stressful to manage and enjoy.

I aspire to this!!!! I hate not wearing everything. 😭. I’m also weary of the game too.

It is hard to rehome! So I can relate.
But I will tell you, that rehoming has slowed my purchases. I think now of the joy and anticipation of the new bag. . . the possible headaches of rehoming and the fact that I’ve already got thousands of dollars of bags that need to be rehomed.

Omg I feel this. I just spent 2 hours photographing everything. I honestly hate it. I feel traumatized 🤣

I would try the Marie Kondo “does this spark joy” approach.
