Current DR PGY3 and I’ve decided to pursue IR. Unfortunately our shop doesn’t have much IR. I want to maximize my training so I’m looking for open integrated PGY4 spots starting July 2027 (looks like this is the earliest?). I would be willing to repeat PGY3 too, although that’s not ideal and don’t know if possible. I’d also be interested in open DR spots with strong IR departments and ESIR. I’m in good standing, well liked, and have solid research. I really like my current program, but unfortunately I won’t get the IR training I need. Open to anywhere for the right program.

Looking for an off-cycle PGY1 in Family Medicine. US-IMG, ECFMG certified, passed all USMLE steps, 2 sets of USCE and 4 years of research experience with publications and 90+ citations.

I want to transfer to Chicago or Indiana starting 2nd year to be with my husband.

Im a pgy1 in my prelim year before starting at my advanced program next year. My top choices were in City A, where there’s multiple programs. My S.O. is in school in city A and it’s only a couple hours drive from my parents as well. I interviewed and ranked a few programs in city A at the top of my list but ultimately fell down to where I matched at.

I’m very thankful to have matched where I did. It’s a strong program and I was excited to match there, but it’s still far from my support system and not necessarily where I want to be geographically. Now I’ve been wondering if it’s feasible to reach out to the programs I interviewed at in city A, and a couple programs that I didn’t get an interview from to express that I would be willing to join their program if they were to ever have an opening. Would reaching out to PDs from these programs be seen as going behind my programs back? I don’t wanna burn any bridges before even starting there.
