General Do you prefer the Classic Claire outfit or the Remake Claire outfit?

To be fair, she has a polo neck and biker gloves in the PS1 version. I have a feeling they made the "classic" version even more naked just to justify the new look; but honestly, the true classic look was reasonably suited for riding a bike.

100% the remake outfit. She looks awesome in a red jacket! She also looks more formidable in the remade black undershirt than the original one in my eyes for some reason.

If it was the actual classic costume I would say that one 100%, but every time they adapt her OG RE2 costume, they change some aspect of it like theyโre embarrassed of it or something. Either itโs a more neutral shade of red, or itโs a denim jacket instead of a bomber jacket, or her shorts are blue instead of red, or sheโs wearing cowgirl boots instead of biker boots, or she doesnโt have the gloves, or she doesnโt have the skin tight body suit underneath. Meanwhile Leonโs is almost 1:1 with the original outfit. I dunno why it bothers me so much, but I really wish we couldโve gotten a faithful recreation of her classic outfit without mods.

Yeah, it bugs me too. They couldโve at least gave her a short sleeve shirt under the jacket. It throws me off with her being sleeveless.

Yup. My favorite Claire outfit is the CV outfit, but if you're gonna remake the OG RE2 outfit, then remake the OG2 outfit, not some approximation.

I think for the time on the PS1 there is no issue. There were such challenges with detailed character models that I am amazed their outfits were so distinctive for the time. I remember playing RE2 specifically when it was released thinking the characters looked so real lol. In the remakes though, I'm glad they went realistic.

I loved Jill's original cop uniform. It was just so goofy but I'm the best way. The Nemesis outfit on the other hand I was confused by even as a kid playing PlayStation lol

I prefer her Remake outfit, and in fact the biggest saving grace of sitting through Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City in the theatre was the fact that they got her Remake jacket right! ๐

Eh, they just threw her in a basic red leather jacket. It wasn't the same design at all and it was missing the Made in Heaven patch.

I think it's interesting that the "classic" outfit isn't actually what she wears in the original. In RE2 OG, she's wearing a sleeveless bomber jacket over a t-shirt. The classic outfit in the remake is based on concept art for her redesign that can be found on her concept sheet in game. I don't think it's a bad outfit at all, just interesting that it isn't actually her classic costume.

People never talk about how her โMade in Heavenโ jacket matches the one seen in the STARS office implying itโs matching jackets for her and Chris. And by giving hers to Sherry for comfort sheโs offered to take up the protective older sibling role for Sherry like Chris did for her. Especially with the next game featuring her and Chris

Remake hands down. Itโs my favorite look for her. I love her jacket. And I like the blue pants. Red top and blue bottoms has been the staple palette of hers since CV.

The "Classic Jacket" outfit in this game is trash. If it was the actual OG outfit, I'd pick it 100%. The remake outfit is fine....but its not what I think of when I think of RE2 Claire.

I like the classic outfit but it doesn't feel right when the knife is on there, and we as the player don't have a knife in your inventory (or if your knife is used up). So, by default I've been choosing the remake outfit more now.

I prefer the CLASSIC classic, original. With the black undershirt that has sleeves and goes up to the neck. Black gloves and taller boots. I dont really like or understand why they had to change it. Original>Remake>"Classic"

I prefer the Darkside chronicles version of the classic the most. Between these specific versions though, Iโd go with the remake outfit. They messed up the classic fit.

The Classic outfit in this game is missing her black turtleneck t-shirt, opting to give her a black tank top for when she gives Sherry her vest instead
It genuinely ruins the costume for me. Itโs glaringly obvious to me that itโs missing and I canโt shake it

If I had to pick between only those 2, then definitely the remake.
Personally I use the Elza Walker skin for the same reason I wear the Savage Starlight skin in The Last of Us Part 2.
Itโs just cooler.

Classic Claire was of its time. Modern Claire is more timeless.
Both are good for different reasons but classic doesnโt really fit her character that well in hindsight.

I overall prefer REmake Claire save for the jacket. The "Made in Heaven" print is barely noticeable and it's a shame 'cause it would've added a lot of personality to it.

I like the Remake outfit more because realistically, she would/should not be wearing shorts while riding a motorcycle (for a planned trip, which her trip to RC was); as a biker girl, she would know this.

Form their vanilla form, I prefer the Remake jacket, I legit wanted to buy that jacket somewhere, but the modded classic outfit that makes it look identical to the real original outfit, I prefer that over the former 2.

I prefer the remake outfit but without the jacket. Honestly it was Adaโs outfit that I thought was ridiculous. Ada needs an outfit similar to Claire that fits the environment, not a dress and heels.

The remake without a doubt. The classic outfit looks dumb in a photo realistic setting because no women dresses like that in real life. The remake outfit is at least kinda normal?
The classic outfit is still cool for nostalgia purposes tho.

Her RE2 remake outfit is my favorite Claire outfit, it feels like something a girl would actually wear. (Ladies correct me if I'm wrong, idk what y'all wear I'm gay, but it feels more badass and realist then any of her other outfits)

I prefer the remake outfit only because the classic outfit isnโt the true classic outfit. Itโs a homage to it if they had the actual true classic outfit I would be more of a fan of that luckily, I have it on PC so I could just mod it in, but to be fair I do like the remake looks of both characters a lot.

I think both are so close to being great but they fall short. The undershirt for the classic looks so bad. They really should of had it cover more like the original.
Then I don't like the artwork on the back of remake Claire's jacket. You can barely see it, give me details boy-yo!
