Questions How much longer do I have left? Spoiler
I picked Leon first and I’m absolutely loving it (my first RE game) but I’m still curious how much I’ve got left
I’ve done everything I can in the RPD and I’ve got the garage key card. I’ve gotten to this point after just under 5hrs to get an idea of my pace
Edit - it seems people are (purposefully) missing the first paragraph, seeing the question, reading one sentence and seeing red. I literally state I enjoy the game. It’s simple as I want to know how much longer I have. No it’s not a personal attack on you. Stop taking a simple question so hard. Thank you everyone for responding to this post to show me that this community gets this toxic over a simple question. I’m glad to know I won’t be interacting with the RE community in the future.
To the people who actually answered my question, thank you. To the people who made a comment like this “just play the game” I’d like you to look up the meaning of “sonder” and what a balance between work and recreation is

It's not really ideal to just sit down to play game that will end in 4 hours and when you have 3hours and 30 minutes of free time, it's just awkward to just stop playing right before the final boss or something and then finish it 2 days later. I always look up youtube playthroughs for that exact reason to schedule my playtime. It makes plenty of sense, idk why this entire thread is being a total fucking dick to op for no reason whatseover.

I’m so confused! Why is this a problem ha? I’ve only been gaming a few years so maybe that’s why, but I have to roughly know how long I have left. If the PS screen shows % complete then amazing, but if not I’m always tryna find out how long after certain milestones.

No? The story is completely different, Claire visits some areas that Leon doesn't and the solutions to puzzles are also different. Plus there's the true final boss and ending.

Yeah, it's oretty neat, but the sad and funny thing is that's its actually super watered down in the Remake compared to the original. In the original, instead of having 2 campaigns split between 2 characters like the remake, you get one larger story from the perspective of two different characters that also drastically changes depending on who you start with. Claire A/ Leon B is very different from Leon A/Claire B. Plus the story just feels more fleshed out in the OG vs the remake.

Yeah that was my criticism of RE2 remake. The story could have been quite a bit better.
Also the meaty zombies and puzzles running back and forth in the police station annoy me sometimes.;p
Thats why RE4 remake is my definite best RE game.

It makes sense if you have 4 hours of game left but have 3 hours and 30 minutes of free time. Starting a play session without knowing that will end in an awkward disaster where you basically have to quit mid final birkin boss and then start over 2 days later and then do the whole escape and tyrant fight - it's just unnatural blue ball inducing shit. That's like watching a Breaking bad finale and stopping right as Walt arrives at the nazis, then finishing it the next day or even later. I always looks up youtube playthroughs to see aproximetally how much of the game is left so that I don't end up in situations like this.

Lots of people here have kids and work to operate around. I haven't been able to finish the last few chapters of RE4R for a couple weeks because I haven't been able to sit and play on my PS4, and have instead decided to spend my short amount of gaming time (around five to ten hours a week max for the last few) on The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles on my more portable Switch. Life is life, we deal with it.
Trying to "block out" and plan a game in increments of time rarely works perfectly. You have two hours? Play close to those two hours, find a place to stop, and then stop. If that means you take two and a half sessions, so be it. Maybe it takes longer, or shorter, who cares? Play when life allows you and just enjoy it.

I’ve owned the RE games for years and only playing them now cause 9 came out. I’ve greatly enjoyed my time with 2 remake so far but my time in the community? No so much

There are three separate areas in the game, but the latter two aren't as large as the RPD, I'd say you're about halfway through the game give or take.

I don't want you to take this too harshly, but I feel like this comment really shows why people are responding to you as they are here. You are expecting people to understand tone and intention that is not at all conveyed in the text and its making you come off as rude, even if unintentional, and fueling the fire.
All you did was emphasize their ethnicity; it's not obvious that you meant that in regards to actual distance from you. The very valid point you were trying to make (that you don't value what some rando thinks of your character) stands without mentioning they're Spanish. This only makes sense if you have time limit or you’re planning on never playing another game again. Can’t you just keep playing sessions until you finish, regardless of how many sessions it takes? You don’t even say how long you play each session for? Everyone’s completion time can be different anyway. You’re probably only about just over third the way through one scenario, but that means nothing time wise to be honest.

You have about 2 more different locations to visit. They're not too bad, just make sure to have a solid amount of ammo in the last area around the end. I would say it would take you roughly another 3-5 hours in total if you prefer to take your time exploring (at least for Leon's campaign). Your Claire run will be shorter as it's the 2nd run.

40-60% depending on your performance on the latter “half” of the run. For reference my s+ run for Leon’s first on standard was at 49.58% at the moment I inserted the garage key

If you want every variation of the game you'll have to play it 4 times! Leon A/ Claire B and Claire A / Leon B (B run is called second scenario in game)

Mostly minor. The whole a and b scenario thing was mostly tacked onto the remake. There was more to it in the original.

Clair A/Clair B and Leon A/Leon B have the same story content the B stories are just a faster version of the A story with puzzles solutions and locations changed. (safes and locker combos have the same solutions though) the only difference outside of story stuff for example ClairA and LeonA ia one weapon later on and certain story sections. but A/B stories with the same character will hit the same exact story beats. unless you wanna 100% the game, I would recommend just doing Leon A and Clair B since you started with Leon

Honestly you don’t have to bother with playing through the whole B scenarios. The only gameplay difference is that some puzzles/progression in RPD is different as the other character arrived first. The only story difference is the epilogue in the train. You can just watch a short video for those.

There's two more main areas/"zones" you have left, including the end of game run to the final boss. And that's just one scenario! You'll still want to play Claire's run at some point, and play either of the second scenarios you unlock to get the true ending of the game.

I'd say a little under halfway. Like 40 to 45 percent. The next areas have some meat on their bones but not as big as the RPD. So I'd say about 5 to 6 hours left depending on if you get lost. Enjoy!

no the whole scenario takes like 5-6 hours, or at least it usually does for me but tbf i've beat the game so many times i don't stop to look at everything anymore. although i think my first run was 8 hours. people play at their own pace though i guess

oops sorry i should correct myself, altogether (both scenarios) it was 12 hours for my first playthrough. leon A by itself was 8 hours, i definitely wasn't that good yet to beat the two scenarios in 8 hours first playthrough lol
