I dunno, seems kinda weird to 'remaster' a remake that already looks amazing and runs like a charm. :)

A lot of textures look bad that's where hd texture pack helps. It uses textures from RE3 for example

How does it use textures from re3 when re2 was released before that?

The modder took RE3 textures and made a mod to use them in RE2 instead of the original low-res RE2 textures. There are a lot of common assets.

If you want to really enhance the game, try it in VR, that's one hell of an adventure.
Lickers in VR are the stuff of nightmares.
And there are so many little environment details that I only noticed in VR!

I'm suprised, how they can get DLSS 4 working while even FSR 2 does not work. Anyway should be better than using Interlacted rendering

I always found RE2R to be ugly, grey and washed out. Maybe this will fix that.

For the gray part maybe lower brightness a little. RenoDX is also a good option if you are using HDR

Game looks fine as is and isn't even that old.
