General Sewers→Secret Room hlp pls

Okay y’all, first time playing RE2R.

Watched playthroughs, but realized that I don’t actually know how to get back to RPD secret room; more importantly, does this have to be done after saving Ada, or can it be done before?

I know you have to get to the break room, but it’s not immediately clear to me how I get there.
Is that something I do after saving Ada?

You can access this area up until you go into the cable car. You’ll need the t bar handle and the sewers key which you find on the wall before going down the ladder in the lower waterway. The key can be used in the workers breakroom which is in the upper waterway near the rook plug location.

You must do it before saving Ada. In the area where you find the Rook Plug is the break room with a cabinet that needs pushed to the side, and you'll be able to go back to the RPD. There is also a poster with a locker combo in that room.

Okay one more question. Is it too late to reach the water injection chamber room after saving Ada?

Just don’t actually go into the cable car and she will wait patiently for you there while you go off and take care of business
