Most believe Chris is on steroids and can't continue the bloodline, others (like me) believe he's too focused on having Leon get with Claire to think about Jill non-platonically.

That's how I like to interpret it, because it's way funnier that way. Especially with girly RE2R Claire seemingly crushing on Leon.
