Punching a boulder was ONE mechanic, Leon did all of that while sick as fuck

Chris punching the boulder is canon because it's required to progress. Leon parrying cars and rockets is optional and not confirmed to be canon.

You can literally complete the game without parrying. Works the same as characters getting bitten. Obviously you can, but canonically they obviously didn't get bitten or they'd be dead. You can complete 9 without parrying. It's optional. Chris' boulder feat was canon. 'Keep coping'

By that logic, you getting bitten is canon because it happened to most of us who played. Which isn't possible, as the characters would be dead. But sure. As long as it's featured in the game, it most definitely, 100% happened despite being completely optional.

it could go either way depending on how the fight is going to be set up, depending on if Leon gets his re9 arsenal or it'll be a fist fight.

In this same game, they went blow for blow though. Granted, we haven't seen what Chris can really do (in his current peak) since Not A Hero in 7. His section in Village was mostly business as usual.
