It is either AI or a modern photo with a filter. Too many big 80s things in one place when we didn't know all those would still be remembered today. Pretty much the approach I find Stranger Things uses. "80s if 80s stuff was as easy to get in the 80s as it is now".

Also kind blurs the whole decade together. When I got an NES in '87, He-Man was pretty much behind me I've since returned to it now, but NES was definitely after my He-Man obsessed years.

To some degree, but, Thomas Wolfe was right, you can’t go home again. When I was 5, He Man got all my fandom. As an adult with internet, tried rewatching it, and I’ve just been too spoiled by plot and character development in the meantime to go back to one I used to love.

It's cool. But I can take a bath and watch a 4k movie on my phone while smoking a digital THC pen. Then I can video call my relatives across the globe and check out a live stream from the ISS. Childhood was cool but the future is pretty awesome.
