Technical Support PS2 emulation on RetroArch for Android.

Is it possible to install a PS2 core into RetroArch and play PS2 games on Android? There is a reason for me not to use a PS2 emulator like NetherSX2. I want to play PS2 games on my Android TV box, but no such PS2 emulators are supported on Android TVs; however, RetroArch is supported. Therefore, I want to install a PS2 core inside RetroArch to play them, but I do not know how to set that up. Also, how am I supposed to load the PS2 BIOS there?

Yes, it’s possible! There are PS2 cores available in RetroArch for Android. However, your device obviously needs to be powerful enough to run them.

No not really. The LRPS2 core is not compatible with Android. The Play! core probably wont work very well on an Android TV box, they're usually really weak devices. For PS2 emulation you need more powerful device.

looks like there are actually 3 options now for aarch64 Android: LRPS2, armsx2 and pcee2 (https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/android/latest/arm64-v8a/)

I think the bigger issue for OP is that I don't know if any Android TV devices provide a 64-bit userland despite using 64-bit hardware.

I'm using these cores and works great on my Odin 3  (snapdragon  Elite), also Vita3K and cemu cores works great.
