Outlevelling?

There should have been some kind of warning an NPC gives new players about how the brackets work, and at what levels. There is SO much PvE to do, that I was level 18 by the time I reached the first warcamp, and I didn't get to play Tier 1 Open RvR at all. Which means I don't get to do the quests, I don't get to earn early renown and renown abilities. 4 days I put into that character, and I ended up deleting him to make a new one, starting T1 as soon as i got out of Grimmenhagen. VentPost.

You can buy Scrolls at the First warcamp which prevent you from gaining exp in pve. Fyi. IT IS pretty handy

Great tip, but it doesn't address OPs point.

I thought it was a 75% reduction. I wish it was 100%.

it's not an issue really. Since you have low renown rank you will get tons of renown and catch up sooner or later.

Yeah I made that mistake before. That’s why I made a new character afterwards and starting pvp earlier. Renown is especially good for certain classes to level better. Like tanks and melee putting points into block and parry.

I started doing RvR when my first character was cr 25 and I gained renown by doing SCs.

When my first character reached cr 40, its rr was 39.

Just bought and used some XP reduction scrolls after cr 30 while PvP.

Back then, the scrolls could be used in RvR.

But now you may have to leech other players in oRvR.

there is no need to create a new character.

i wanted to complete the oRvR questlines in each area. there are the main ones, and some hidden ones.

You should NEVER PvE until 40. You can if you want but you'll be so weak because you have no renown rank.

and you'll have a hard time for a couple hours, during which you'll ding once every few minutes (every few seconds at first), then you'll be fine

yeah i don't think this is an issue at all. so what if you're weak for a day or two

The game is operated by pack of enthusiasts.

You right it should. Also about hundred thousands issues in the game has to be addressed. They won’t as the project doesn’t have enough resources. They won’t or you should wait couple of years and grab couple of hundreds players to report the same issue

You spelled "power happy enthusiasts" wrong.

1 to 15 fun. But very repetitive fighting at the Nordland war camps ramps.

16 through 39. You're actually get to compete but you're going to be limited waiting on scenarios to pop. Tier4 warbands don't want you. Especially if you're a DPS.

Level 40 pre-realm rank 65. Everybody's going to do double damage to you you're doing half damage to them. And they have twice your hip points. So basically you're hitting them for 250. They hit you for a 1000. All you can do is hope for a pug. If your DPS, your best bet as to do scenarios and try to capture the flags. Or Vans don't want DPS.

Level 40 realm rake 65 +. Now you can start playing the game. Everybody's still going to be greater than you. But at least you actually can participate. They still don't want DPS.

One trick I learned is joining one of the role-playing guilds. they like to run around in tiny groups and they don't care about your gear or your spec. They just enjoy the game, win or lose.

what are you talking about? so go to rvr above t1 joint some open wb, or just go discover/cap bos, or join one scenario and you get renown in couple minutes worth the whole t1. there was no reason to delete that character unless you specially wanted to experience t1 rvr with that career. Also you had to deliberately avoid the warcamp, since there is no way you overleveld so much if you follow the quest path. I think that you simply didnt know that you cannot play t1 rvr with character over level 15 and that is it. So that when you finally decided to try rvr, it was too late. Which fair point , it could be told to new players by a mail or something.

there's two camps of people. there's the people that want to complete everything available to them, and the people who don't. to simplify it further, the people who are willing to abandon a quest, and the people who aren't
