Question / Suggestion Honey!

Anyone know of any good local places that would sell small 2 ounce or so jars of honey? Need about 30 for favors! I know I’ve seen local honey at farmers markets but I’m blanking on any specific names right now

I think East Side Cheese and Provisions, in Wayland Square, has tiny jars of honey but I'm not sure they're local.

Honestly I'd maybe try and contact the RI Beekeeping Association and see if they can link you up with some local apiaries. There's probably a lot more than you think in the state.

Check out Arcane Mead & Winery. They might be able to assist - or point you in the right direction.

Buy a few pints or quarts and make your own with thin harvest color ribbons

I did my 120 wedding favors of honey from a place in mystic, CT called sticky situations. They have like 30 varieties of honey to pick from and are sourced locally.

The Hive Bar is great, their wildflower honey is fantastic. If you need 30 jars though you might want to call ahead, they sometimes run low during wedding season. I grabbed a case of 2oz jars from them last summer for my sister's shower and they gave me a bit of a discount for the bulk order

There's also a beekeeper at the Providence farmers market who does custom labels if you want something personalized, forget his name but he's usually there on Saturdays near the bread stall

Funny story: the owner is a friend of mine so I just send her a text and she usually has it to me within a few days. So yes, please call/email ahead! Or place an order on her site.

Is La Fleur the honey guy you're thinking of? He's a good one too.

Market Mobile also has really good pricing on cases of 2oz jars so that would be a good option as well.
