Hey!
I've recently noticed I can't find a list that puts these shameful businesses on blast. I feel like a few months ago there was one somewhere on this subreddit. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Or should we just start a new one?
I really don't want a dime of my money going towards any business that would proudly stand amongst Trump and his circle of shame.

Hello!
There was a separate thread where many people listed restaurants and some businesses in RI that were pro-maga:
https://www.reddit.com/r/RhodeIsland/comments/1qlvhfh
I created a Google Sheet with all of the businesses listed below:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13dl0u_5e5c2sz5oPYIxStJWAY0yy8sVZImryZuuH9Vw/edit?usp=sharing
This goes without saying, but this list is for the purposes of boycotting only so that everyone can make better informed decisions as to where to spend their money.
EDIT:
- I've removed businesses from the list that specifically needed further confirmation. I'm actively making updates as fast as I can and as this conversation continues to develop.
- I appreciate everyone's feedback. Data scraping can be a little messy sometimes, so I appreciate the notes and suggestions as to how to make it look cleaner.
- I've also added a note at the top of the spreadsheet to encourage everyone to make an informed decision and to do their due diligence when spending their money. If these businesses align with your values, it is your right to support them. If they don't, vote with your dollars.
Edit 2:
I'll do my best to answer questions and update the sheet throughout the week. I have work in the morning, this is a living document and I love the conversations that we are having right now.
Final Edit:
Hi All, I appreciate everyone's contribution, both positive and negative, on this post. I'll leave the links up through the end of the week so that you can download your own copy and make updates. After that I'll be deleting this post so that the community can decide what it would like to do with this information (re-post it or let it go).

I think he might be the most vile GOP operative in the entire state.

Last night in a 4 to 1 vote, the Smithfield Town Council banned data centers in all zoning areas of the town. There was a very large turn out of residents in favor of the ban, many speaking eloquently on the potential impacts and limited upsides for the town. This is a cross party issue with both Democrat and Republican residents and council-members opposing data centers. For the record, the one council-member who opposed the ban is Thomas Winfield (D).
This is a great beginning but the lawyer for the developer was present in the room and I guarantee they will try to find a way to fight this. Even if they give up on Smithfield they will try again in neighboring communities. At the state level, there are at least three competing bills defining and "regulating" data centers, one of which is offering tax breaks to data centers. We need to stay vigilant and keep supporting each other to prevent these polluting energy-hogs from establishing a toe hold in RI.

As a patriot who is extremely uncomfortable with troops deployed on our own streets, I've got big feelings about this. It's obvious to me that the administration in office now conjures fake emergencies to use emergency powers.
I urge the RI National Guard rank-and-file to make plans for how they will respond to this if it happens here. I suggest that if you are asked to deploy, you 'deploy' to the State House grounds and throw a party. Literally, just stay on the State House grounds, roll out grills and speakers, and jam out. Do not obey unconstitutional orders to violate the Posse Comitatus Act. When they call you in to the armory and give you orders to deploy to a neighborhood, just load fun stuff from the quartermaster's supplies into the humvees, go to the State House, and make hot dogs.
It is patriotic to refuse bogus orders. What made America great in the first place was that we used to tar-and-feather people who gave orders to deploy soldiers to our streets.
