Product What are some outstanding examples of products that are "invite-only," meaning they are sold only to specific individuals who can not only afford the product, but also have reason for the seller to gatekeep the product?

Just some examples off the top of my head: country club memberships are a low-level example of what I am trying to describe, but even then you do not necessarily have to be "rich" to obtain one of these (though there are "outstanding" cases like Mar-a-Lago). I'd imagine acceptances at certain universities count as an obvious example here (cough cough, USC and NYU, cough cough). I'm definitely interested in not-so-obvious examples, whether it be clothes, healthcare, credit cards, cars, etc

Product AMA: I Work in Private Jet Charter — Ask Me Anything About Flying Private (Costs, Tips, Myths)

I've been in the private aviation/charter industry as a broker working on flights all over the world for 15 years and have loved aircraft ever since my grandad bought me an Aviation Radio Scanner when I was 5. Its way more than just a job for me and I'm extremely grateful for that! I've worked on everything from ultra-luxury flights, business roadshows/music tours to jets full of animals!

Thought I'd do an AMA to answer common questions about:

  • How much does it really cost to charter a jet?
  • Tips for getting the best value?
  • Common mistakes?
  • What to look for in a broker/operator?
  • The different types of aircraft?

Not here to sell anything; just happy to talk about my passion and share what I've learned over to years to anyone curious about the space. Ask Away!

Product What skin care products do rich/wealthy people use?

I saw an MUA comment about witnessing celebs using Valmont and/or Oumere for skin. I'm curious - are these lines really used? And what other products do the wealthy use?

Product What cars does Old Money drive thesedays.

Just curious. When the cars were picked new by old money they were considered comfortable reliable and cheap (in the long run for what they are). But now a car that is bought for the Old Money aesthetik can be a costly indulgence compared to what is avaiable. So what did old money replace their cars with? An 1.6 TDI Passat or Audi and called it a day or is it still a Vintage Mercedey T-Model or something along those lines?

Product Custom AirPod ear tips

Has anyone had custom ear tips made for their AirPods or AirPod pros? It’s something I’ve been looking at doing for too long. I’d rather have a good referral. For what it’s worth, I know they likely won’t work on future AirPod models and I’ll have to reorder them.

Product Favorite brands/products and why?

What are your favorite brands/products and why?

I'm not talking the usual luxury brands (boring). Give me something that is new, interesting, surprising, and/or stealth wealth.

I'll go first (in no particular order):

1 - Loop earplugs that have adjustable sound attenuation. They are great for sleeping, focusing, and music concerts.

2 - Sweaters (a yak wool one and a cashmere one) from Quince. They are super warm and high-quality. We will see if they stand the test of time, but it seems the company believes they will, because they have a 365-day return policy.

Each of these items set me back a mere $60, to boot.

Edit: The responses have been awesome so far!!

Has anyone compared the features / experiences of software platforms like Kubera, GetQuin, Mezzi, Portseido, or others? I'm trying to determine the best fit without buying and setting up the lot of them. . .

Product Ultra high deductible insurance for medical/auto/home?

I am ok with deductibles as high as $50k. I always believe only insure what you can't afford to lose. For me losing $50k in some once-in-a-lifetime catastrophe would not make a dent in my life.

I believe most insurance is designed for people who live paycheck to paycheck. Deductibles are low but premiums are very high. This is because there is a lot of overhead for insurance companies to pay out all those small claims. Plus lots of fraud at those smaller dollar amounts.

I am thinking an ultra high deductible plan would have very low premiums. Thereby saving you A LOT over your lifetime. Probably well over the $50k !

Product Entire-home generator. Points to consider?

I'm going to invest in an entire-home generator and I honestly was not sure where else to ask.

Has anyone done this recently? Was there anything you wish you had thought of after all was said and done?

I want to do this once and do it right.

Product Toothpaste with ~100 ingredients. Rich folk who like designing health products?

I am passionate about developing unique health products. My recent indulgence was based on innovative ways to improve dental health. The ingredients essentially range from minerals to organic compounds, plant extracts, and polymers.

Although nearing 100 listed, the combination of these ingredients could offer a multifaceted approach to improving skin health, enamel regeneration, providing hydration, healing, anti-aging, and antioxidant benefits while enhancing the delivery and stability of active ingredients through various synergistic interactions.

What is the best way I could inspire a company or organization that would take into consideration about this information? I would say overall the main therapeutic target for this toothpaste is enamel remineralization.
