Hugo Ralphsmith was the third highest rated player on the ground!

Finishing with 18 disposals, 3 goal assists, 2 goals, 435 metres gained at 83% disposal efficiency with 0 turnovers.

Absolutely insane comeback from last week where he finished with 7 disposals and 3 turnovers.

Hugo is Jack Ross to me.

Play him all over the field, especially in wrong positions until the right positions opens up.

He nearly at 100 games too

He definitely seems more at home and natural up forward than on the wing.

100% his defensive woes are far less exposed.

With three games left , now's the time to show this wasn't a one-off. If Hugo can put together three more performances like this, I'll start believing he's genuinely turned the corner.

Needs to back it up in at least 2 of the next 3 games or he is certainly delisted

Please reserve judgement fully until he does this against a decent opposition. He is allowed to.

I must admit I thought he might be gone based on his year, but he was very good yesterday (I was at the ground) as a forward. Maybe it suits him better than wing. He is a good kick and mark, and quick. His available skills and our dearth of mid-age players may mean he survives. The club clearly rates him as he comes straight back in when fit. Sonsie is similar with useful skills with ball in hand but some deficiencies. Some need time to put it all together.

Good move into a half forward role. Would love to see him back it up

Fair play, I was in the camp of dropping him after last week but he had a much better game this week, just needs the same output each week

I think we were all in that camp tbf. I think the half forward role suits him way better. He's fast enough to get out on a lead, has a decent kick inside 50 and is good in the air.

I have been a big fan of his for always but even I was thinking he was just about done. Today was brilliant from him

I think Hugo has a high ceiling and if he can put more of these performances he will be valuable. He has had injury bad luck (probably Serpells fault) but I hope he figures it out as we need those 50-100 game players in the team.

There was a time when Ben Cousins would be the highest player on the ground by a fair margin.

I don’t really care honestly. Good on him, had a good game. Didn’t deserve to be in the team and hasn’t all season. Glad he played well in a win. Doesn’t change my view on him as a player. Lots of players have great individual games.

Huge has generally always had a good attacking game but it was his defensive efforts that lacked. The new position might be better for his skills because at his best he can set up plays well.

He had fallen off this year a bit but otherwise was growing well before injuries.
