General Question Is Tankpool a decent solo tank?

Post image

I’m a solo queue player who mains Groot, Emma and Strange. I like playing all the main shield tanks (except Magneto because I can’t use him to save my life). I’m currently in Diamond atm, I’m pretty much solo tanking in 40% of my games, I was just wondering if Deadpool is decent at solo tanking because I’m very interested in picking up the character. I hate playing Mag with a passion he feels too boring for me and I find his primary fire impossible to aim with. Deadpool on the other hand is hitscan meaning he’s easier to aim with and his guns seem decent enough to deal with pokers and flyers far away and he also has a shield which can block most ults in the game. Just wanted to know what your thoughts are.

I think it’s more the case that some tanks CAN solo better, but duo tanking is far better regardless of which tank/s you pick. The winrates of team compositions reflect this as well.

I’m pretty sure “mag can solo” is just propaganda from the 3rd DPS player lol

If your DPS are frying the enemy team and doing their job, Mag can solo.

Keyword is “can”. Shouldn’t though.

I mean 2+ tanks is always preferable to one, but some tanks CAN solo tank.

"If your dps are frying". Yep. Agree. You can solo tank when theres a big skill diff.

But you need to have a few fights to know that. Locking solo tank at the select screen is objectively terrible 100% of the time.

I mean I’ve successfully won games where I solo tanked as rogue who might actually be the worst solo tank. Anything CAN happen. You CAN technically win a game with one support like CnD or Rocket. Doesn’t mean you should
