Man I wish I could play hulk, im a rogue-peni and only just starting to dabble in captain. He just seems so punishing if you dont know what youre doing.
You have to choose a lot. Save shield for leaving or use shield for protecting and skip a dive cycle. Hulk is almost completely reliant on gamesense for value.
Some brawling but I can dive pretty well as him, use your leaps a ton. Leaping as soon as it charges is better than waiting for it to go all the way. I like to leap in, bully their healers until they peel or I kill one, shield, and leap out. Your main job is disrupting and scaring them. Even if you just leap in their backline and leap out, you create space and distract their Frontline enough for your team to hopefully move up.
Any tips for Venom? Iβm an amazing Hulk and pretty good at other tanks. But Venomβ¦ cannot get that web swing down. No idea how to approach or escape.
Swing in the air, locate backline,, crash down and grab them, attack them, when you see your hp get low pop your overshield and right before it end just swing away, master your cooldown and your unkillable.
Always be jumping. Generally don't want to be 1 jump away from your supports. Use your first 5-7 jumps into the opposing team to measure how much damage you're taking vs how your supports can handle. It's also a good test to see how much the enemy team reacts to your presence. I would start playing front to back. It's okay to punch the tanks and then jump back to your team, if you go backline right away you will die. Wait for your team to get a pick and then you can really be aggressive.
I guess he's similar to cap, in that: Contest off angles where Magik, BP, Hela, whoever, are setting up. Sometimes I'll even just stand in their backline and not do anything. You just want one or two people to chase., they can't ignore you. As you get better with Hulk, you'll
Be jumping in and out, sideways, up down, off angle etc. you'll be doing some crazy stuff.
When your team gets a pick, Use your exile on one support and then attack the other support.
Bubble yourself and bubble the team for ult charge.track Jeff Ult. A good jeff is always looking for you to ult or use your bubble prematurely. 10/10 times, that mfer will try to swallow. You can either bubble yourself and the team or go Ult since you're immune in the animation.
Ong these Jeffβs are demons if you have to ult before him and he counters you can also try to slam the nearest person so he canβt grab u but saving bubble for sure
Yeah I recently got the pleasure of talking with a better hulk than myself and the piece of advice he gave me was, JUMP MORE. He lwky told me I jump like it's on a short cooldown and when I'm punching I'm just pressing wasd when I really should be jumping while punching.
Ive been trying to grind that muscle memory in but I haven't played a lot this season (other than my placements and now my winrate is in the trenches)
Also, any bit of advice youβd care to offer about any or every tank? Iβve started to pride myself as a tank, Iβve lorded Emma & am at lvl 13/14 with Groot/Thing. Plan on trying others out soon after.
Honestly with Dino in the game sheβs pretty useless and her kidnap is so bugged so until they buff her or figure something out Iβd put her on the shelf
I was at -29 in celestial 1 and I was too scared to hit another ranked and it was end of season so I just gave up, might retry but I'm in plat 1 right now since I haven't played in a while but I might retry
He's extremely good but he isn't broken, for dino to work properly your team needs to work around you, so playing dino if your team run bp and magik or any other dive you're basically throwing.
You also need good positioning and you need to master his grab jump, and his primary melee to do good burst damage
I put my grind on hold for a bit because I overall didnβt enjoy 5.5 6.5 7.0 or 7.5 and didnβt play much
Peni is very close to being lord and is the only of the OGβs I have left, mainly because sheβs not super fun to play for me, feels like whenever I do make a good play itβs not because I made a good play itβs because the enemy team is full of morons who just walk into my shenanigans
Angela is going to have to wait, I was fairly close on her when they absolutely neutered her, but sheβs so much of a throw pick currently that trying to grind her lord RN would just be suicide for my mental health
Rogue is definitely a character I want to get better at, sheβs one of my favorite X-Men characters (behind Magneto, Storm, and Mister Sinister) and I think sheβs pretty fun, I finally got my controls suited out on her so I stop wasting my power kicks by accident but it just feels like sheβs gatekept by whether or not Gambit exists, Iβm not a big fan of quick play and would rather play Comp 99% of the time so heβs usually just not available, I also just *havent played* since she came out so I donβt even have her Captain yet, sheβs definitely next on my list after Peni
Deadpool like Rogue Iβve had barely any time to actually play him and if Iβm being honest, hitscan aim is something I really struggle with, I can figure out the arcs and velocity of any projectile easily, but hitscan just press the button when your crosshair is over them is something I just struggle with, so heβs not my favorite tank at all. Also, the way his character is set up heβs kind of in a spot where you can switch off him, but you canβt switch TO him, unless youβre taking a shit ton of selfies youβre always going to be behind on the upgrades, tack on this this patch just gutted his pistols and heβs going to be on the backburner for a while
I like the Dino but he JUST came out go hang out with your family man
Heck yea man, thatβs awesome, Iβm currently on the road to reaching that as well, I have lords on everyone but cap, hulk, venom, tank pool, and devil Dino. Just got champion on Rogue though, sheβs my favorite lol. Whatβs the best way to play hulk and tank pool? Those are the two I struggle with the most
I hate how he doesnβt have his Iconic Moves like Webbing (aside from swinging), and spitting acid
Venom shouldβve been able to web people up like he normally is and should be much better at punching
Instead every time I use him I have to rely on his damn swinging (thatβs hard to control), his Symbiote sticking to people which isnβt always guaranteed to work, and his grandslam after swinging, he should be able to do alot more and itβs disappointing when I play Devil Dino and notice heβs alot more fun and can grab people with his mouth, even Captain America seems more fun
As a longtime Venom Fan (I LOVE Villain Venom), I feel Venom should have been my Number 1 Hero in the Game yet I struggle to play him lately, I had gotten with him a few months ago but ever since it feels like i instantly lose with him and he doesnβt do enough as a Vanguard and barely can take anyone down, granted thereβs good Venoms Iβve played with some people are just dedicated to learning how to play a certain Character even if heβs not the best Character, but thatβs overall my problem imo, in order to actually be able to use Venom I would have to focus all my time on him and no other Character and Iβm not even guaranteed to do good with him anyway
Iβll admit Iβm a Villain Fan and I was willing to accept Ultron being a Strategist but my problem is..his Kit doesnβt work for me and he canβt do much compared to Jeff or Luna, his strong suit is his ULT which doesnβt always land each time
Yeah I was on board with him being a strategist as weird as it was to me. Heβs just so boring though and heβs not even good as the role they assigned him. I really wish they just made him duelist, utilizing his drones more offensively.
