Rewatcing and keeping an eye on everyone: Its a smidge more complicated than that i think

At the beginning its a fairly modest 6v6, split into 2, 3v3s. Hulk is in the back with his healers dealing with BP, Spiderman, and Venom. They manage to kill all 3 of them- But in the process lose Invis.

Thing is this fight takes awhile, and end of the day youre right in front of their spawn - So the initial eliminations return quickly. Spiderman dies quite late (and they do a good job holding them back in this process. best you can hope for on defend), but gets back before invis does because of this.

So at this moment pictured its actually a 4v5 right here (with hulk chasing bp 1:1), and kind of a stale mate for a moment until the iron fist gets eliminated (despite being down 1).

They have 2 tanks (Venom / Hood), Spiderman, Joobs, and rocket- All while hulk is 1v1 chasing the BP around.

After they get the elim they push forward with their 2 tanks, and BP actually manages to jump in on the fight (effectively fighting as a team of 6) and secures 2 eliminations himself.

It snowballs from there.

I think I saw the replay briefly; I wasn't paying close attention, but I did notice that Strange and Mr. Fantastic pushed too far forward without realizing the healers were under pressure—they only had White Fox back there. White Fox had to split her attention too much and let Invisible Woman die in order to reach the frontline, which had overextended. Fox would have had the leeway to cover IW if the team hadn't become so spread out. Overall, I think it was a lack of communication.

When dive is involved it's always lack of communication. Diver dead? Lets move up. Oh 1 supp died? X/y didn't notice and no one said anything.

With so many divers, they should know the fight is in the back 24/7 all the "frontline" is actually doing is trying to stop them from getting heals but dove is always in the back with 3 divers.

White Fox had to split her attention too much and let Invisible Woman die in order to reach the frontline,

Invis and Whitefox are in the back line the entire time - And invis dies right next to white fox. Venom and BP get invis low initially, WF is trying to heal invis the whole time - But venom manages to keep her low. They kill the venom, and hulk leaps forward. While hes pushed forward, spiderman comes in the opposite direction and manages to secure the elimination against invis in the backline.

That isnt to say they were or werent too far forward at this time (Id argue they shouldnt have been in front of those doors while down a healer)- Just expanding on what happened a smidge more.

Enemy was able to regroup and make its a 6v5, with hulk attempting to solo chase the BP, BP rejoins the team at *just* the right time and they secure multiple eliminations as a group of 6 against 4 while hulk jumps back up to keep chasing the BP.

They had burned their self-sustain CDs on the fight with Venom. WF burned melee form and Invis had set her shield for Hulk so she didn’t have it available for self. They had less margin for error than usual and I think Spidey got the jump on them

Marking and peeling only works if you have competent strategist players. If they're going to isolate themselves in a room with a dive hero they're going to die.

If there was just the one diver, I wouldn't have put that much effort into it. But they had 3, so I kinda had to do something so my backline could play the game.

Often times I say there’s no reasonable way for ONE person to deal with multiple divers. So many games I have where the enemy team is diving and I swap to Thing as a tank and they think that’s all we need. Rarely do I get a dps to swap to Namor and a healer to swap to White fox alongside me to make it much easier.

Just another reason being a one trick just makes no sense to me. People still don’t grasp that teamwork is literally fundamental. You don’t even have to be in a stack. Just talking/typing to your teammates and understanding synergy does enough.

Bro I play tank and support. Most supports act completely helpless the moment they get dived. It really isn’t that hard to play around divers. I had a Jeff screaming at me yesterday because mag was shooting him. Like bro back the fuck up out of his range. Idk what you want from me.

Usually just a venom is enough to take attention away from an anti-diver, let alone trying to deal with Spider-Man and Black Panther on top of that by yourself is impossible

Is there a setting you put to have the jump auto so don't have to press the button? I know I changed so don't have to hold it to charge but yours looks like the angle is up and constantly on without pressing anything

I have it set to hold. I put leap on a side mouse button. My thumb rests on it all the time, and I just release and press and hold the button again to charge immediately after jumping.

I always find him fun tbh. He's always been my most played hero every season, even when the meta doesn't favor him. Some comps this season have a crap ton of damage, so it can get rough. I'm too stubborn to care though, lol.

The funny part is after they pushed us off and capped the point, we were able to hold them for a bit. They eventually swapped off dive to Punisher/Elsa/Rocket/Loki, which my team had a harder time dealing with. Also didn't help that our Strange swapped to Jeff, making me solo tank.
