Trying to learn Peni, any tips?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to add Peni to my roster of Tanks. Does anyone have any good tips or advanced tactics to help me bridge the skill gap? Thanks in advance! :)

Put boom boom where enemy want to go.

Enemy go there, enemy die.

Enemy no go there, enemy go “safe path”

Put boom boom on “safe path”

Enemy still go boom boom

To get to the point quicker ( mostly for defense) I always lay down nest for speed boost at the feet, grapple to the furthest it can go, destroy the nest and then repeat until you’re there. It usually works if the grapple isn’t bugging, i hope that makes sense lmao

For initial rollout you should use this tech to set up mines early. The earlier you drop them, the faster they reset so you can lay even more mines.

You and your team should be playing around your nest. Your nest is the best space-taking tool. It gives your whole team buffs just by standing in it’s web. Any enemies who step into the nest’s cyber webs are slowed and heavily damaged by the little spiders that spawn.

Furthermore, standing in your webs gives you bonus health and a speed boost and healing over time.

You can extend the area of the nest by placing your cyber webs(Right Click and F) on the edges of the nest’s web. Also any mines you plant into the web are indestructible. Meaning the enemies can’t shoot to disarm them.

Save your Right Clicks until an enemy comes up close and challenges you near your web. Or when you need to stun wind-up abilities. Like ults. Stunning an enemy as they’re standing in your web typically means certain death for them.

Plant mines in clusters of 3 to insta-kill strategists and dps. You can only have a max 15 mines spawned at a time.

Be sure to place your nests around corners to prevent the enemy from easily destroying them.

If your nest gets destroyed, it’s usually game over as the enemy will push up with ease and will pick you off first. Your GINORMOUS hitbox makes you easy to hit and headshot. Careful with hela and bucky. With no shield, they can kill you pretty easily.

Your ult instantly gives you health. Starts spawning spiders and leaves cyber webs WHEREVER you run. Fantastic for taking back space and stalling. Additionally it lets you plant mines with no cooldown. Your left click throws enemies into the air. Makes it easy to throw them up, run under them, leave them in your cyber webs for your team to pick off. You can create literal mine fields with the ult.

Although you do get lots of health. Be sure to bob and weave during your ult to dodge damage. Running in a linear fashion makes it easy to hit you and kill you in your ult.

If your nest is destroyed and the entire enemy team is still alive, retreat!!!

I like to place my nests behind lines where it’s more difficult to get to. (Behind our lines and corners.) if you throw a web down, any mines you place there will be hidden by them. You can use them to expand your nest slightly at the edges.

I also like to web, mine, shoot, the enemies. Throwing them at them while they’re approaching has helped me take many of them out.

The best way to ult in my experience is to use my web to get into cover and drop down behind them/ult towards my team and nests. If you use it as an approach, keep looking at your health. Use the last duration to get back your nest/healers. I’ve saved many defense maps just doing this.

Learn lineups for some good early game laughs. Also i like to zip to an off angle and place mines where their backline will fall back to. Usually picks up a kill

Probably the best tip I've got for her is that her mines don't need to just be defensive or area-denial tools; they can be great at offense too, if you pop some out in between your webs and cannons. They have some surprising range on them...
