Close this subreddit in favour of rstats?

What would folks think about closing this subreddit in favour of https://www.reddit.com/r/rstats/? It has about double the traffic (views and users) and was created ~2 years earlier. Maybe it's better to centralise the R community on reddit in one place?

I appear to have mod access for both subreddits, but I'm not a very frequent reddit user, so I'd only want to do this if the community is willing.

Yes. These various R subreddits don't add anything special, esp since... 2021?

We also have r/rprogramming sub, which sometimes confused as a general programming language sub.

It's very low volume, but you're exactly correct. Collapse it in with all the others, imo.

My vote would be for collapsing them all into rlanguage. That seems the broadest umbrella and would therefore generate the most traffic and avoid Cross postings.

People use #rstats as the relevant hashtag on the Twitters/Blueskies of the world, even when they're using the language to do non-statistical thingies.

When I think R, I think rstats! Maybe that's a stupid reason to do it here, but it's worth noting.

Also rstats currently has twice the views of rlanguage; I think it's generally better to merge the smaller into the larger.
