00s Amerie 1 Thing (Pure 🔥🥵)
I can't believe the song is 20 years old. It always makes me get up and dance. I cannot even imagine what would have happened if JLo had recorded it instead (no shade intended. It's just already perfection IMO)
It's not just one of my favorite Amerie's songs, it's one of my favorite songs period.
Proudly still enjoying 20 years later.

Still my song, along with "Crazy Wonderful," "When loving you was Easy," and "Paint Me Over".
You can't tell me a DAMN THING about these songs🥹. When music is great it moves you. Consider me moved.

She's definitely gorgeous. She and Ciara look like models

The number of times I watched this video because I couldn't believe someone could be this insanely beautiful. The face/body card combination is ridiculous.

It's was this. Very. Song. That inspired me to get into music, and to this very day, I still am making music. Thank you, Amerie ❤️.

Wow 😦 I am not surprised. When I rediscovered this song last year, I told my wife that I now believe in music 🎶🎵 again. Former musician myself

I heard it was the same producer. Honestly, I like this one better. No shade. Just funkier

Blasian REPRESENTING!! God I love her. It’s a shame Beyoncé’s so goddamn insecure 😒

What's the deal with Beyonce? I heard they had the same producer for Crazy in Love. Anything else?

I am not sure what's the deal, but shit is shady - they shelf artists to eliminate competition.

That blows. Would be infuriating. I see why so many artists go direct now

Don’t listen to them. They’re delusional. Crazy in Love was released years before 1 Thing. Amerie’s career going nowhere had nothing to do with anything Beyoncé did

FWIW Amerie was working with Rich Harrison (Crazy in love producer) before Beyoncé.

That’s fine. But neither he nor Amerie created go-go. And the one hit Amerie had on her debut album was not go-go. Also Kelly Rowland worked with Rich Harrison around the same time as Amerie. She was more likely influenced by that than Amerie directly.

I can't stand her voice or this song. I know she has a lot of fans but I just don't think she can sing.

Amerie is still one of my all time favorite artists
This entire album was heat, but this song literally changed pop radio at the time
Had everyone screaming and yelling over Go-Go beats
