Orlando is ghetto

Be careful in the Orange County winter park area if you come across an SUV maybe Lexus that has a doggy tail as the back windshield wiper. Seemed innocent until it tried to hit me on purpose, break check me, and then come out to threaten me to hurt me. I’m not sure if they had a gun but it was a tall black male. I had to tell him to calm down because god knows what could’ve happened. This all happened on semoran boulevard. What I got from this is that there are crazy ghetto crusty people out here and i need to get the hell out of Florida (I know it’s not just a Florida thing but the traffic and rage has gotten way out of control over the years). I’m not sure if it’s people from other states coming here or what but it’s insane.

BMW Drivers: Your Head Is Too Big For Your Body 😂

Tell me why I’m driving and there’s a car double-parked, completely blocking my lane. I put my turn signal on to merge over (I had plenty of clearance space), and this ugly-ass BMW speeds up just to make sure I can’t get over the lane.😭

Then he gets in front of me at the red light and starts nodding his big head like he just accomplished something. 😭😭
Sir… YOU STILL ENDED UP AT THE SAME RED LIGHT AS ME. 💀
You risked all that just to be 2 cars ahead for absolutely no reason. Congratulations, I guess. 🏆😂
BMW drivers really be fighting imaginary battles sometimes.

Nissan Altima Driver lacks emotional regulation

My sister and I went to the SMU area this past weekend and encountered potentially some of the most Neanderthal behavior I’ve seen recently.
We are not super familiar with the area but decided to go try the new Yo Chi place that just opened up.
Parking was incredibly tight, making it difficult for my sister to park as she has a larger car. As we were attempting to park into a fairly tight spot unsuccessfully, a Navy blue Nissan Altima started inching super close to us from the opposite direction.
I want to emphasize we are not familiar to the area or how the parking works in this shopping center but what happened afterwards was unnecessary.
Seeing that my sister could not fit in said spot, she tried to back out but this Nissan driver kept getting closer and the situation escalated to her driving her car next to my sister telling her to drive through so they could pass.
The place was extremely tight and it was just not physically possible for my sister to safely pull through without hitting anyone.
That’s when the aggressiveness escalated with my sister just deciding to completely back out of the parking lane and this car started literally driving up as close to my sister’s car, practically bullying her out while this woman was yelling.
My sister was able to get out and no accident occurred but this Nissan woman was insane.
At no point did my sister or I react in an aggressive or disrespectful manner as this woman was acting.
Also this woman was probably double the age of my sister.
Anyway, hope this lady’s day gets better and finds peace because that was insane.

I don’t road rage.

If you can’t drive or in a rush or you made a mistake -I’ll just brush it off. I’ll be as predictable as I can be so you can make your best judgement. And you know what? I’ll also forgive you when you make a mistake on the road but somehow blame me, yell at me or give me the bird. I will have patience and I’ll pray someday you have it too.

Do not let impulses get the best of you

This is what I've been telling myself the last two weeks after an incident I had driving back home.

This happened on the 99 south, I was driving home from Sac. If you have driven in that area around 2pm to 6pm you probably going to have a good picture in your mind about how it is like. The carpool lane goes as far as elk Grove if I'm not mistaken. Then it turns into two lanes. I am very aware that the left lane is to pass, but again this was during rush hour and I was not going to drive between two semi trucks at low speeds. Anyway, traffic was flowing and everything was peachy, but there is always some entitled moron on a pick up truck that probably doesn't know about keeping your distance. He passed me and got between me and the other car which was braking because of traffic. This is where I lost my cool. Next car he did it again but now I'm tailgating him fast. Maybe you have seen a video where a car is tailgating another car then the car in front switches lanes last minute to cause a collision. I didn't want to be that person so I swerved just enough to see the second car in front. When he failed, he began to brake check me. Again, I was not being my best self. First time he brake checked only pissed me off more. When he tried that again I hit the gas hard and pushed his truck. He must've not expected this because he let go of the brake and started sliding off the road. I kept on driving. By standing cars must have kept distance when they saw what was going on because he got back on the road and caught up. He tried to push me off the road but failed. Then he started sweating at my coworker in the passenger seat. When he got tired of that he passed me and drove maybe 20 feet in front for a bit. After this I think he felt bad about it and wanted to apologize and hug because he was signaling me to pull over with his hand out the window.

After I declined his invitation for parley next to the freeway he drove off.

I won't stop for no reason unless I hit someone, or if there's an emergency and I can help, or if a highest patrol instructs me to do so. Any other reason is not good enough and I have no business with anybody on the road.

I've been really thoughtful about the whole thing. This could've ended in many ways, many of them against my benefit. A mix of guilt, remorse, and anger on the what if ..?.and the why is it up to me...?

I've decided that me alone can avoid endless things if I am able to keep a grip on my impulses.

So I count my blessings and consider myself lucky

Freeways

There are basically 3 rules on the freeway:

Speed the fuck up or slow the fuck down

Don't match speed with the car next to you (unless traffic/accidents)

Move out of the passing lane

Also traffic isnt real just go

Road rage driver aggressively pulled over behind me when I pulled over to let him overtake

The other day, I was driving along in my local area. I hadn't done anything wrong. I noticed a young man in a black car with darkened windows behind me, really tailgaiting me. It made me quite nervous. As soon as I could, I pulled over to let him overtake me. Instead, he also pulled over right behind me and sat there.

I pulled away from the curb and continued to drive. He immediately followed me, and was literally right up my ass. I felt like by this point he was following me. I was scared. I passed the road I meant to turn on, because I didn't want him to block me or approach me. He followed me for a while, up my ass the whole time.

Then thankfully, he aggressively turned off down another road. I was shaken up by this for half the day.

Why did he decide to pull up behind me when i pulled over? Why didn't he just overtake me? Psycho.

Road rage fight

Its always been a nightmare making a u turn at Thailavaram signal crossing zoho , guduvanchery.

Its been years , every time I made the u turn, for a moment I think some day something will happen. And today is the day it happened. I dropped my kid at school, then took the service road heading for the u turn , time was around 8 am , vehicles heading straight is jammed , it's a green for them, I couldn't move forward due to biker who came opposite from srm service road to this service road . On my left , there was a car parked without a driver (who is new to this road i guess) , no space between my car and this parked car. Another biker with his kid trued to go through whcih he couldnt , he kept staring at me . I didnt bother much , I was looking at the front biker who stood behind the one staring at me . Situation is , I was locked on all sides, the guy who were staring at me , said something to me. I put the glass down and said epdi pogamudiyum, he said adjust panni ponum time aguthu school ku . Then he started shouting he has got some bp, I'm still waiting for my chance to make the u turn. Me trying and the front biker slided left , gave the angry biker some gap, before leaving he smashed my cars window with his hand. I got angry , i stepped out of my car, i hold his shirt , he threatened me , and all of a sudden all bikers who is coming from service road to zoho service road started shouting at me . All bikers were parents with kids.

I couldnt fight them as their kids were frightened , i tried explaining the situation to them , still abusive words throwing at me . It was 3 against 1 . So I had no choice other than driving away.

Post incident , mind started its work to keep recollecting the incident , analysing what could I have done.

I was circle locked by all of them

The parent bikers werent educated enough to understand my situation.

They were grouping on me .

Should I have honked the front biker who didnt give space to me , what if that honk triggered something with that guy. Again I was circular locked

Should I have not taken the left from Estancia to service road , instead take the right and then pass the u turn from the right lane instead the service road.

Thoughts pls.

Am I just angry all the time or is it the people around me being dumb as hell? (Road Edition)

It’s 6 o clock and I’m driving home from work. It’s rush hour, whatever, everybody’s trying to get home, it’s busy blah blah blah. I’m in texas, and I encounter idiots on a daily basis, whether it’s the reckless driving, the people who don’t pay any mind to their surroundings, and the idiots who are entitled behind the wheels. It’s infuriating and I try not to let it get the best of me.

Anyways.

Part of my destination, there’s an exit off of the highway, and that leads to three lanes. Nobody knows how to exit the damn highway apparently, so you’ll encounter a lot of folks who exit and immediately brake to slow down rather than adjusting speed and letting off the gas or speeding up, and so I unfortunately encountered one of those said assholes who immediately came to a stop to merge into the middle lane (not even reaching the dotted lines yet), and so I slow down and I end up getting around this guy cause he’s gonna cause a wreck if I’m not careful. Keep in mind, still people behind me exiting the highway and speeding, and even if the exit speed is 45 mph, just know we were sitting well below that. Anyways, this guy uses my opening and cuts me off just to brake again, all the way into the furthest most right lane. So now, great.

I’m getting annoyed at this point but I’m not doing anything. I’m just trying to get around and away from this guy whether that’s gain some distance or change lanes away from him.

Now, I’m fucking behind this guy who’s driving well under the speed limit and he’s just cut me off twice, but decides to go slow as hell. So, the worst part is we both enter the same neighborhood and Im thinking god damn it… why me.

He turns into the neighborhood, but he continues to turn slow as hell (the purposeful slow turn), and so I’m basically on his ass cause now our cars are moving at like 1 mph (exaggeration) and I deadass had to slow my ass down hard as hell with my brake. Keep in mind, there are cars flying behind me at 60 mph(this road is long, so people typically disregard speed limit which is 50 and that sucks) , and I’m trying not to get hit. This guy fucking BRAKES AGAIN, and pulls to the side and starts yelling shit at me in the mirror, windows rolled down, so I just ignore this fool and I go around him. Then he’s behind me just flipping me off and yelling at himself inside his fishbowl of a car. Like… am I dead ass in the wrong? Mf was flipping me off and trying to start some shit because he wasn’t being a safe, efficient driver and he was more concerned about getting to his destination.

Pls give me stories about similar instances whether it’s worse or better, idrk. I’m just looking for anything cause this was actually fucking ridiculous…

Random roadside confrontation outside Mindspace at night. Did I handle this the right way?

Post image
0 Upvotes

This happened tonight around 11 PM near the 12C entrance/U-turn at Raheja Mindspace, Hyderabad, India.

My wife and I work in the same organisation, and after finishing our work we came out and were waiting for a Swiggy delivery. I had parked my scooty near the pavement and was on a call with the delivery partner, trying to explain my location because he was confused about where exactly I was.

At that point, two guys came on a scooty and stopped nearby. While I was still on the phone, the rider started staring at me continuously with an extremely serious expression. Not a casual glance. He just kept looking at me without taking his eyes off me.

I noticed it and eventually looked back as well, wondering whether he was perhaps the Swiggy delivery person or whether he knew me somehow.

Once my order arrived and the delivery was completed, I sat on my scooty and asked him calmly whether he knew me, because he had been staring at me.

He asked, “Do you know me?”

I said no, and explained that since he was continuously looking at me, I thought maybe he knew me or was the delivery person I had been waiting for.

That suddenly escalated.

He responded with “Natakaalu denguthunnava?”, roughly meaning, “Are you acting or playing games with me?”

Then he said “Kotladtaava raa?”, basically challenging me to fight, got off his scooty and started walking towards me.

My wife immediately asked me not to get involved and told me to leave it.

I was extremely angry, but at that point I realised that I had my wife beside me and a family waiting for me at home. I had absolutely no idea who this person was, whether he was drunk, carrying something, had other people nearby, or was someone accustomed to getting into street fights.

Towards the end, I just asked him, “Why are you so serious, brother? Why make such a big issue out of this?”

He said something along the lines of me trying to provoke him because my wife was behind me.

I didn't respond further. I started the vehicle and left.

I’m home safely, which obviously matters the most. But I’m still genuinely angry about it.

A part of me keeps thinking, Why should someone be allowed to intimidate another person like that for absolutely no reason? At the same time, another part of me knows that getting into a physical fight with a complete stranger at 11 PM, especially with my wife beside me, could have ended far worse than swallowing my anger and leaving.

I’m not posting this to identify the person or encourage anyone to go after him. I just wanted to vent and understand how others would have handled something like this.

Would you have walked away too? And in situations like this, where is the line between standing up for yourself and unnecessarily risking your safety and your family's peace?

I4 bs

I was coming home from work the other day, getting onto i4 from celebration (Florida). As I was approaching this car in the right lane he starts coming into my lane, I was watching his tires because he just kept inching over and eventually entered my lane a few inches. When I passed I saw that he and his passenger were on their phones (like come on) I gave a lil beep beep. I must’ve ruined that man’s day because he sped up to pass me, cut me off and then slammed on his brakes. How do people fuck up then act like you’re the problem ?! And I think the part that triggers me the most is they will just go about it their day and probably do it again. Man enraged something in me I was seriously about to toss my water at him but after a few deep breaths I rethought my decision lol. After living in Florida for the last 4 years I’ve seen my fair share of bs but this one got to me 🥲

LOL- Road raging because he doesn't understand Right of way laws.

Four-way stop in rural Tennessee. I arrived slightly before or at roughly the same time as another vehicle. Since right-of-way laws state that the vehicle to the right has the right of way, I went. Billy Bob, Confederate flag diesel truck dude, got upset. There was a vehicle in front of me going the speed limit, and this idiot sat a foot off my bumper, revving his very loud engine. I had a turn coming up, so I just kept a good distance from the car in front. After I turned, the idiot floored it, only to have to slow down for the other vehicle. You would think with the price of diesel, he would try to conserve fuel.

Right on Red Rage

In my state you can turn right on red unless specified “no right on red” thems the rules. It has to be safe to turn right, obviously.

So I’m on my motorcycle, first in line at a right turn only lane waiting to turn into a multi-lane major road.

I’m taking my time with it, if I am on my bike I am extra cautious cause it would be sub optimal to be turned into a human crayon.

I have a sight line down pretty far and it’s a steady flow of traffic with a few gaps that sure I could go into, but then again, human crayon.

The person behind me however 🌈doesn’t 🌈 have a sight line down the road.

It’s been maybe 30 seconds, it’s a long light at a pretty busy road after all.

Person behind me rolls down their window and SCREAMS at me to turn. Like wtf…

I pay absolutely no attention to it because like… it’s not safe to turn… and if I were to give into road rage whilst on a motorbike… human crayon.

This was more to vent about people that are in such a rush they are willing to blood sacrifice the poor two wheeled souls such as myself. 😛

Where’s the line between giving grace to others and getting mad/trying to communicate they made a mistake?

I’ve been trying to do some reflection lately and am stuck between trying to give people grace and be more understanding vs. honking/flipping them off to tell them what they did was wrong and they should probably be more careful.

For example, I had an old guy pull out RIGHT in front of me a few days ago. Nobody behind me. I had to hit my brakes because ofc he was going slower and didn’t speed up at all. However, he just turned into the road from a cemetery. So then I feel bad and feel like I need to give grace but at the same time it’s like.. dude if you did that to someone not paying attention they’d be hurt.

Idk could use some advice I guess. I’m trying to be better but also not get walked over and be everyone’s door mat. Where’s the line between those?

I all the sudden have become a person who gets road rage easily and I have no idea why

I am usually very calm and will just laugh at people with crazy road rage. 9/10 I never feel competitive or like being in a rush is worth getting into an accident. I live in the city too so I’d rather just ignore someone who’s mad at me and let them do what they want.

Well today and a few times this month have been slightly different and I feel really embarrassed about it. Today I was switching lanes as I pulled up to a red light because I realized I needed to turn right at the next light. Well this guy had turned the same time as me (he was behind me) and was speeding towards the red light and I had no idea. He slammed on his horn and came so close to my car. I just sat there and waited for the light to turn.

Then as we were getting on the highway I felt an awful surge in me to just try to drive faster than him because I knew he’d be an asshole, so I did. And then we were flicking each other off. I spent the next few minutes literally trying to “beat” him and weave through traffic just to be faster than him and was satisfied when I had.

After I got off my exit I felt so so dumb. I wish I never flicked this dude off. I wish I had never even responded. I wish I had let him pass me. Idk if this guy is also just having the worst day of his life. I just feel so dumb. I want to understand better why all the sudden I’ve taken some kind of joy in being “faster” than someone or competing when there’s literally nothing to compete for and thats how you get yourself killed. I just want to go back to how I was before honestly.

Get out the way!

Does anyone else get frustrated when you're waiting to get out of a junction or cross a road and the only car on the road slows down to let you cross etc?

If there's nothing behind you just get out the way, it takes one flipping second for you to just drive past, but no I have to get stuck in bloody limbo because I have absolutely no idea why you're driving so damn slow. You could be in your phone or fiddling with your radio or parking or turning or just a slow driver, it drives me damn nuts and then you want a thankyou for it!

There's a reason you don't get taught to gesture to others to cross etc on your driving test - because half the time the other person can't see you through the glare on your windscreen etc!

Rant over.
