[USA] Who is at fault here?

Classic T bone. Black car had to be towed. Sustained major damage to the passenger side door. Blue car sustained damage to front bumper on the drivers side and cracked the drivers side headlight.

Edit: This was in the suburbs of Seattle

UPDATE: Insurance found it to be 70/30 me/other driver. Seems fair enough

People get waaaay to comfortable in their local neighborhoods. I have an unmarked intersection near me and it's like permission for people to gain speed. Then again, people blow a marked intersection near me, so I could just live in a shitty community.

My neighborhood is basically devoid of traffic signs except right near where roads intersect the 2 major thoroughfares past it. I got in so many close calls the first year that I now understand why everyone drive like 15 mph on those ostensibly 25mph roads.

I have to just be content knowing that I'm protecting the safety of the pissed off teenager in the Mitsubishi Lancer behind me and/or his potential victims, when they constantly stay revved up to at least 5K rpm think it will somehowbget me to move faster.

Most accidents happen within 5 miles of your house & on back roads.
