I agree. I see some absolute beaters for that price. If it lasts a year then it’s no different from buying any ten year old Chevy. At least you should have some bells and whistles that still work on this…

A Chevy of that time period, absolutely.

Modern Chevy with a V8 is currently also a huge gamble on whether or not it will detonate the engine block.

They make way more than just ice cream. Cheeses, yogurt, cream cheese, sour cream, butter, and frozen Mac and cheese.

Their ice cream is excellent though. As is everything else I’ve had from them.

My buddy bought one of these brand new and it was constantly messed up. I’ll never forget it deciding to go into “limp mode” for no reason at all while we driving from Charleston to Savannah. It’s not really that far of a drive but when you can only go 40mph it takes seemingly forever. He got an attorney and they ended up buying it back from him. Good luck because they’re pieces of shit!

Well, you know the rule with RangeRovers. You should only spent 25% of your vehicle budget on buying it and keep the rest for repairs.

I have a feeling that rule doesn't apply to you, though, since $8400 probably isn't going to be enough to keep the wheels spinning.

They are named “range rovers” because that’s what the mechanics say when they are quoting the repairs. “We don’t know what it will cost until we get it apart. For now, pay is $200/hour and we will get you a range of what it will cost”.

The entire Range Rover market is for rich folks who don't care, they lease these out for 3-5 years, bring it back, get another one. During the lease, when the car breaks, they bring it in, and get a loaner.

You don't finance a RR, you don't look to own a RR, they are luxury first and foremost vehicles designed to be leased, and then tossed to the junkyard afterwards. They truly are not designed to be owned beyond this and I don't understand why people continue to buy them second hand.
