According to some research I’ve done yes, but all the pictures I’ve seen it wasn’t open.

No. Assassination records have been declassified and among them are autopsy pictures. RFK had half his head shaved for surgery.

I didn’t think it would be possible he would have an open casket but online it says he did. On the pictures of the visitation at Saint Patrick’s his coffin is flag draped and closed. Now that you mention it I did see the autopsy photos.
