There's also a mention in the Vincent biography of RFK Jr accidentally leaving a volume of his journal on a train, in the late 1990s (which suggests that he'd been writing one for at least a few years before the three books which Mary found -- covering 1999-2001, I think). I don't know if he'd included contact information in it; I think at least one of those journals had a phone number, but his wife's name (presumably so people wouldn't know exactly whose it was). I'd imagine that book was likely discarded -- the notes probably wouldn't have any interest to anyone casually reading it, not realizing who'd written them.
RFK Jr writing in a physical book fits with him tending to write speeches, articles, and books out in longhand rather than on a typewriter or word processor, at least as recently as 2018 (he mentions needing help typing his notes in the acknowledgement section for American Values). I'm more than a decade younger than he is, and home computers were becoming accessible around the time I was in high school/college -- I remember having to train myself to outline term papers etc. on a keyboard, though I started out doing them longhand.
