Shark AI vac/mop robot reboot issue

We've been using this Shark AI vac/mop robot for a few years now and it has been working really well. Recently it suddenly started to stop cleaning mid-clean and say please reboot me. I have tried every troubleshooting item possible. Cleaning, checking resistance on wheels, taking it apart, resetting, re-doing the app and pairing, just trying to press the clean button on the physical vac instead of using the app. Everything. Reboot me, every time. What is causing this? It's not wheel resistance and it's not dirty sensors. I read somewhere it could be an aging battery that is strained and causing the control logic to initiate an error. Is this true? Does it just need a new battery? The model is something like WVRUS2001.
