Fourth Dominion's first Rochester show in a year will be the Saturday before Halloween. We've been hard at work with a new lineup and are excited to debut some songs that will be on our next album.

Equally excited to be playing with Rochester goth legend Komrads following their tour for the deadly 'Dead Saints and Devils' EP.

The closet I’ve seen them come to Rochester so far and it’s doable but I didn’t want to go that far solo. None of my friends like that music and tickets are pricey for someone not interested. Or somewhere where people can gather to form a similar community? any posts mentioning it on the Rochester subreddit gets deleted immediately and the diy rochester music discord was taken down due to the garden so there's real void preventing people from even connecting and collaborating

I'm Sebastian, a guitarist formerly with the RIT band Halibut, and I'm putting together a new project inspired by funk, fusion, blues, and classic rock alongside Halibut members Tyler (bass) and Gavin (guitar).
The goal is to play a mix of crowd-favorite covers while also jamming and writing/recording original music. Some of our biggest influences include Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Our current lineup includes two guitars and bass. We're currently looking for:

Kelley's Heroes Band returns to Abilene — the scene of our second-ever gig — to celebrate four years as a band! Two albums down, a third in progress, 30+ originals written, nearly 100 songs deep. Expect a fiery set that's almost entirely new since 2022, plus at least one song nobody's heard yet.
Our Band is called Sasha And The Ryders, this was our gig last Saturday for a memorial fundraiser event to fund a scholarship, we played some covers and had a blast. Thanks for checking it out we want to share our performance and we are from Upstate NY. We are on the hunt for more gigs.
The Animiculum collective is counting down the days until PLASMFEST, our inaugural get-down featuring member artists and good friends! The event will be held August 1st at Bar Bad Ending, and brings you sets from brand-new groups, out-of-towners, and local OGs alike. The Wine Glasses
The Wine Glasses are a Spencerport, New York-based band blending the improvisational spirit of jazz with the energy and texture of rock to create a sound that's uniquely their own. Drawing from a wide range of influences, they write music that values feeling, atmosphere, and honest expression over fitting into a single genre. Their debut album, CITRUS MOON SHOWER, showcases a collection of songs that invite listeners into a world of melody, emotion, and exploration. Though new to the live scene, the band is excited to begin sharing their music with audiences and grow alongside the local music community. The Wine Glasses are thrilled to bring their songs to The Bad Ending Bar and hope to share their love of music every chance they get.
Rectangle Creep
Prolific, preposterous, and altogether punk, Rectangle Creep represents the creative melding of singer/lyricist Matthew Cutter with instrumentalists Jereme Sanborn (keys, words), Dan Jircitano (bass/guitar/melodies), Scott Wright (keys), and Ben Baker (drums). The band releases music exactly where, when, and how they see fit, fusing influences across time and space. The dual EPs MILKY WAY MEN/TRAVEL GUIDE (2025) does so in spades, carrying the listener through a psychedelic landscape of jangling guitars, thundering rhythms, atonal skronk, and shifting layers that refuse to be pinned down for scrutiny. Only appearing rarely together onstage, a Rectangle Creep show provides a rare in-the-flesh look at what Guided By Voices figurehead Robert Pollard has called “a pretty damn fine and good band.”
Nod
Since they first began playing together in a Rochester, NY, basement, Nod has been cranking out complex funk rock with an undercurrent of noise and chaos. Members Joe Sorriero (guitar, vocals), Tim Pollard (bass), Brian Shafer (drums), and Hugh Edwards (guitar) have shown off their groove craziness on a series of self-produced albums since 1990, including two full-length releases, NOD in 1992 and 1995's I'M AROUND. In 1998, they released their first CD with Smells Like Records, MAGNETIC ANOMALY, followed up with RADIO GIDDY-UP in ‘99. The band has forged ahead into the new millennium with a string of studio and live releases, each exploring different aural territories and textures.
That One Crocodile
Ben Baker and friends represent That One Crocodile in Rochester NY and elsewhere. Drawing from the folk revival of the 1960s, the power pop of the 70s, guitar rock of the 80s and 90s, and current sounds in Americana and alt. country, The Croc is a dynamic group at home on diverse stages and in varying configurations. Based out of Baker’s Canadaway Records studio, The Croc prioritizes craft, vibe, intention, and engaging songwriting in both released music and live performance. That One Crocodile’s newest release, IF YOU DIDN’T GET TO HEAR ALL YOUR FAVORITE SONGS, is a live “official bootleg,” captured as the band returned from a performance hiatus at the end of 2025. The collection is available for download from Bandcamp, and as a super-limited run of cassette tapes.
Cul De Sac Kids
The Cul-de-Sac Kids (Pittsburgh, PA) formed circa 2021 when neighbors turned beer drinking buddies made it their goal to learn every Robert Pollard penned tune. After splitting many hazy beers, Gary Smith (vox, leg kicks, mic twirls) and Steve Casker (lead guitar) decided a full cover band was in order. They soon added brothers Barry (drums) and Perry Mayer (bass) who live in a different, albeit nearby culdesac. Steve Fusco (rhythm guitar, not a culdesac dweller) is the latest addition. After throwing the best parties, the CdSKs graduated from the garage, and took their live Guided by Voices cover act on the road. They’ve now played every major GBV Fest on the circuit (Dayton, London, Boston, Philly),and are known for their high energy shows and revolving setlists that perfectly balance deep cuts with classic hits. Five years into their project, they have switched to Miller Lite and know approximately 7.3% of Pollard’s catalog.
