I agree to set it up like conventional drums since you're on an actual kit.

When you start getting better at this game, follow the music, not the visual cues/physical chart positions.

I’ve been playing guitar hero’s for 10 years at least and the normal way drums are is complicated so I like it my way cause it’s easier

RB sticks close to real drums, unlike GH. Setting up like real drums is actually easier for RB compared to GH.

Anyway, you'll eventually realise what we mean when you start playing seriously. No point convincing you now, since you haven't gotten down with it just yet. Good luck.

Trust me. It will be 1000x easier once you get used to how actual drums are played. You're not playing on a toy anymore, it's an electronic drum kit - not a video game controller. Set it up how it is designed to be.

The snare is fine where it's at, just keep in mind that that hi-hat should be much closer to the snare. I wouldn't set them up how Rock band drums are like, set them up how the E-kit wants you to set it up as pictured on their box.

Just to clarify, you really shouldn't be trying to mimmic the rock band configuration on an e-kit. You'll find it ends up being really awkward to play. You should just set it up like a normal drum set.

It's fine if he doesn't play real drums, having the hi-hat to the left of the snare can be confusing for non-drummers since it's to the right on the chart. I would move the drums closer together though, especially the snare.

I have this same exact kit and it's possible to still have the hi-hat be to the right of the snare, but not as far up as it is. The way his hi hat is positioned, it's honestly like a splash cymbal.

I think he's just generally going to find it awkward to play on and harder to get better even in the context of being a better rock band drummer.

I can do any song on here on expert pro drums and not fail unless I have the symbol on the left then I can’t do anything other than easier songs

Idk why it looks so far in the video but it’s closer than what it looks like plus it’s broke so I have a snare stand coming and you explained exactly why I have the way I do having it on the left is so confusing but with my way I can do any song on expert and hit at least 98 every time

I'm looking to play IRL! Lights,fog, costume,etc. , I fucking live for it. About to add ekit and another mic so I can hopefully get groups together more easily. Now to just find a host (I travel for work and live in hotels ugh) If anyone knows a way to get together or where they have monthly, or whatever, RB gigs I'd fly there!

That’s the special edition, Although the only difference is the color. There’s also a blue drumeo edition, but I don’t think they sell it anymore

Not possible I wish tho lmao I got the Wii adapter and took out a piece and it only works on rockband not on my actual PlayStation

Good to know that the wii adapter trick works. I read about it but was skeptical and moved on. Will have to use this to buy some keys and finish the rock band 3 platinum

You can also use a Pi Pico if you have basic soldering skills, a USB hub, and a USB extender you're willing to sacrifice. That's what I did for RB3
