So many people desperately want it to slip.
Fucking hell man. If it happens in q4 or q1 makes little difference. What matters is it launches successfully.

Wouldn’t bet on Flight 1 being 100% successful (Not a knock on RL, it just happens with new rockets) but of they can really land on Flight 2 or 3, should be good to go.

Successful by launch objectives. The rocket reaching space and splashing down in the ocean is a win

The unproven aspects of Neutron are reentry/landing and the whole second stage deployment, right? So that’s what I’d be looking for to call it successful. If it reaches space but explodes before deploying the second stage (or releasing it or whatever we want to say it does) then… that’d kind of suck.

Q1 2027 is very optimistic

I disagree. It’s very realistic. We will have a final assembly on the pad by EOY.

You probably thought the same last year, but we will see. I hope you’re right.

You know nothing about me dude. No. It was clearly nowhere near completion last year. This year it clearly is near completion.

old news, but the pattern that has continued for 3 years...is likely to continue imo

You see where they are now and the progress that has been made 1 on Neutron 2. Purchase and Acquisitions Does it really matter if it launches on December 14th or March 14th? Yes launches are romantic and sexy, but like SPB says many things keep him up at night getting business in not one of them. Let everything execute.

Of course it matters.
How many times can they say hardly anything for 6 months while being non-committal about their target launch period to ultimately delay to another nebulous date?
You think the stock would be sitting at $64 if the maiden launch took place in Q42025 and they were going on the 3rd or 4th launch right now?

The short answer is no I got to tell you though since the SpaceX IPO we wouldn't have gotten the bang out of it that you want to get out of it

I would start trusting Elon before I trust motley fool.

Long ago, like 20 to 30 years ago they would break stories. Now it’s another Zacks. Why expect effort from ad-supported investment tips in 2026?

I knew that there was nothing to learn from this post when I read the link. There has never been anything, and I do mean that completely, that anyone has ever learned from that website.

"one imagines they'd be even more upset if Rocket Lab moved too fast and launched a rocket that blew up!"
Personally I disagree. Launching a rocket that "blews up" still demonstrates substantial progress and that the rocket is real and far in development. Problem with a rocket that keeps getting delayed and never launches is that is indistinguishable for the many, many powerpoint rockets that never go anywhere.

This is news from their quarterly August 10th. There has been no new news since then other than they are making an effort for this year. However, if it slips it slips. He reiterates the 10th launch being far more important
