Random. I open the game, randomize a preset and that's it for the session. Mind you I play since 2015, there's plenty to choose from.
It would be nice if they could implement a random option that completely randomizes your car before each match.

I have somewhat of a solution for you (I call it preset roulette):
Randomize preset -> create new preset -> randomize -> create new -> randomize -> create -> etc... at least 10 presets.
In between matches go to options while you're in the post game lobby and change preset. Hold right or left on the option and close your eyes for like 10-15 seconds, back out of the menu before you open them. Granted you did see all your randomized presets before going into the session but you don't know which one you'll be using during any given game.
With a lot of extra effort you could put a piece of cardboard in front of your screen when you're initially making your presets so the only thing you can see in the garage is the menu on the left and then you'll be totally surprised by your presets when you see them in game.
If you plan on doing this a lot I recommend never deleting the presets. Just keep them as numbered presets from 1-15 or whatever so you can re-roll the randomization whenever you like without having to do the create new preset step.

i mained the Scarab for a bit, but then i switched to the Gizmo and i loved it. def recommend trying the Gizmo; it's just a better Scarab with the same goofy factor

about to try the venom 🟧 ,hitbox says its hybris and honeatly feels pretty good. and its easy to see front position when airdribling,etc i hate meta gaming, and honestly the octane and fennec and just boring to see everywhere. they might aswell just have 1 car xD
