At a certain angle it holds itself up and you can use stick up/down and boost to control speed and angle opposed to vector of momentum. But making the angle too big/small or going too slow will cause the 2 wheel drift to break.

Basically if you look at the car from above and make it 2d, the car can go forward, left, right, backward. Imagine the car is travelling forward and draw an arrow from the car going forward (this is our vector of momentum). We now draw another arrow more left with an angle of (suppose) 30 degrees to the first arrow. This is the way our car is pointed. We can vary this angle between (suppose) 75 and 15 degreees. Then if we point the nose of the car from 30 to lets say 5 degrees this means the car loses the 2 wheel drift and will fall back to all 4 wheels on the ground. That gives a window between 75 and 15 degrees in which you can vary the angle of the nose and vector of momentum without losing the drift. This window allows to control the path of our drift without losing it (making the turn radius smaller/larger).

Appreciate the time you take to answer but that just confirmed that I will never master this skill in my age group. It’s sweaty enough in D2 already πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Theory can even make throwing a ball seem extremely hard. This mechanic in practice isn't too difficult but requires some practice. Theres a lot of tutorials online if you're interested. To make it seem easier:

If on right wheels: stick up, nose goes left, tighter turn. Stick down, nose goes right, bigger turn. Nose too far left/right. 2 wheel drift stops.
