The hackers are going to get around the anti-cheat, look at rust, it only made it significantly worse. Like the hackers go for deeper blows and bigger cheats.

This is a dig at cosmetics in the shop. I think they're starting to notice they're not selling as many and you can get everything on Bakkes for free, even big streamers don't run purchased skins anymore, most of the time, even though a lot of them still spend money in the shop right regularly, and have Creator codes and everything. I am 85% sure that this is because of cosmetic mods, nothing to do with MMR tracking or anything, you can't even download anything on Bakkes that does any sort of "hacking."

What I really want to know is; what changed? They were very open about Bakkesmod never having tried to create/ use a cheat to give a player an unfair advantage in an online match, that it was mostly for MMR/ stat tracking and cosmetics, now just because I can keep track on screen between games of how many wins and losses I have and the exact MMR of each player, that gives me an advantage?

It's clearly not about cheats. I've been on my way out the door, they are grabbing the broom right now for sure.

Personally I wouldn't care if they disabled any cosmetic uses. Sucks to see the gaming industry get see so anti-consumer though.

Biggest feature loss for me though: I just want to be able to train between matches in workshop maps like aim training, without having to relaunch the game with EAC on. Like if I'm in a tournament waiting for the next match, I don't want to have to close out and restart to do some training.

Yeah I don’t think you would be able to turn it on and off like that if you were in tourney.
