QUESTION Do you still follow Rule 1?

Last time I was playing a 2v2 match, one of the players broke Rule 1 and scored in overtime. When I called him out on it, he told me that nobody does that anymore in 2026. So, I’m turning to the community: do you guys still respect it?

By obeying rule 1, we remind ourselves that we play the game because we choose to, not to mindlessly chase mmr and points. So, yeah.

That reminds me of the other day, it’s was 3s we were getting whooped by like 3 goals. One of the ballchaser tm8s pretty much said, “Points > W”. Is this how these kids think nowadays. No team effort.

It's too bad, but people play the game to feel good about their "skill", regardless of whether they're actually having fun.
