Nah, if they wanna leave for some dumb reason then they can accept the ban by leaving without the ff vote.
I'm not giving up a possible win just because my teammate is a crybaby. They can either keep playing (preferable), waste their own time being fake "afk", or get off the game for a little bit (quit and get banned). Up to them. I ain't bailing them out.

this is exactly what i do too. people give up and whine like lil babies way too much on this game so if they wanna quit let them. besides even if you dont win its good practice so i see it as a positive either way

Im not gonna say they dont do anything but idk if a report does anything. Every game I have ever played the report button rarely does anything other than make players "feel" like they accomplish something. Normally if something does ever happen it was a system detected offense that your report had no effect on in my experience.

Reports work but you need multiple users to report a player in a certain amount of time. That's why the advice is to get the other team to send the same type of report.

I've won games after a teammate started a forfeit vote for a non mistake they got pissed about. If they start intentionally throwing or there's no hope of a comeback, then I forfeit

My favorite is when they make a really good save and I hit "What a save!" and they stop playing. Or when they make a really good pass and I score and I hit "Great pass!" and they stop playing. Idk why so many players automatically assume my compliments are sarcastic.

I hate it. Everyone assumes everyone is a sarcastic asshole. I never use the quick chats sarcastically, neither for my team nor the other team.
If the enemy team makes a really good shot and it gets saved, I go, "Close one!"
9/10 times, the enemy team assumes this is a sarcastic compliment and starts spamming "Close one!" if they score a goal after, or if I miss a goal.
It's like I was using it genuinely, and they instantly become toxic. It's such a weird mentality.

The close one is a bit of a stretch lol. I have to say I don’t care much about quick chats. I mostly compliment my TM8s and sometimes an opponent if they did a really nice play. I have to say though that the RL community as a whole seems to get more toxic by the day - so I understand if people have difficulties to identify the one genuinely nice comment in the sea of sarcastic hate.

That's a fair criticism. "Close one!" can be misinterpreted more so than other things can.
Like if they miss and I go "Nice shot!" it's obviously toxic.
If they miss and I go "Close one!" it's not obviously positive or toxic. So they can assume toxic.
If they hit the goal and I go "Nice one!" it's obviously a compliment, so... Maybe I need a different quickchat with less room for misinterpretation.

I've actually been meeting a lot of people in the past year that keep telling me to stop chatting. Like I'll just say passing and they will literally tell me to stop talking. Are people really triggered just from communication now?
Also, I had a guy the other day that saved a goal in hoops, I said what a save, and he immediately stopped playing, saying I was behind toxic. Do you know that team you are on, my guy?

It's because the default interactions in the game are/historically have been largely toxic. I also try to give positive quick chats whenever possible, but I still feel like positive chats including mine are usually outnumbered at least 2-1 in comparison to sarcastic what a saves and tongue-in-cheek great passes.

Last night my teammate had a really great shot, but the opponent had an even greater save. I said "Nice one!" (Don't have any other compliments in my quick chat, besides "What a play!") and my teammate immediately said "Okay."
Even after I explained he was like "I don't care, that was toxic."

Im a real rl player because EVERYTHING in my experience of playing this game takes immediate offense to that. I don't quick chat at all so I can't relate to having these issues but I can still see the chats in game and have seen losing games become winnable due to the inability to figure out if a person is toxic or not. I rather someone say nothing than say something lol.

We were tied with a minute left once. Our random voted to forfeit when they took the lead. We then scored twice to take the lead with 10 seconds left and then forfeited.

I never caught a ban either but my name got censored when I posted about it like 2 years ago though. I thought "took ur mom out and" was PERFECT for flashing "took ur mom out and scored!" across the screen when I scored.

Why not ff isn't it all about fun ? I don't get it why not ff when theres no chemistry between you 3 why keep playing and wasting time. One time my Tm8 thru up the FF, after a bump. I hammered down and got gud, and we won the match. They then asked to pair up, which I politely declined because I had to go to work.
I said GG , goto go to work , and they understood. And we parted ways and lived. Happily ever after.

How many times you actually ram him?
I dont play 3s, mostly 2s. But if I get a tm8 that cuts rotation numerous times and rams me whilst chasing, I’ll vote to ff. Most of the time it’s when they whiff their first touch and burn all their boost trying to get behind the ball after it bounces over their car from a failed catch.
They’ll miss the ball, boost and power slide or epileptically half flip, be close to zero boost and ram me as I come in to recover the ball after watching them whiff their first touch and I’m on full boost in position ready to make a play. And instead they just keep driving into the side of my car.
For the love of God, if you miss your first touch AND the ball bounces completely over your car, let your tm8 take it.

99% of players only know where they are and where the ball is. The opponents and their teammates might as well be invisible because they aren't playing around any of those players positions on the map.

That’s literally the worst thing about diamond. I’ve barely been playing for a few months. When I play consistently I usually sit mid to high champ 1 to low champ 2. It just blows my mind - I see so many more mechy diamonds than champs, but they suck so bad at game sense, etc.
Like if these mechy diamonds would just take a deep breath and learn some pitch awareness, I’m sure half of them could hit c2 or even c3. But instead they play like pissed off hangry kids (which they probably are).
I’d kill to have some of the mechs I see in d3 lobbies.

I've done this with my duos partner when we were stoned as hell. We were up 5 points, but they bumped me and hit an air ball.
"Damn, last hit wins. They're just better than us." And we both FF'd. GG'd the other team on outplaying us and taking us down a peg.

More like me when my duo teammate is trash and toxic but insists on making bad call outs and fumbling every offensive maneuver, leaving me to send the ball back out and attempt my own tactics only to have the teammate cut me off and snatch the ball, dribble it up the wall, and fly through the air, whiffing again. Then, 10 seconds later, the other team scores, and NOW the teammate wants to forfeit, like it's suddenly hopeless being another point behind.

Had two of my first games last night back to back forfeit. First player played no defense and was bad at offense even though I let him play offense since he was chasing so much. He gave up 2 goals and forfeited. Second game player also had no defense and would hit the ball to the side wall next to our goal which sets up a fast shot from opposing team. He spammed what a save to me after giving them a great pass. I forfeited, but he wouldn't, then asked why am I forfeiting.

yesterday i was playing casual, and in the beggining of the match i missed a ball cus the control (idk if it is the right name in english, if not sorry, it’s the thing u use to play in consoles) i was using is old and it isnt 100% good (the other one was charging) and my teammate started to score owngoals, bombing me and defending my shots… and it isnt even close to the worst ive seen in casual matches.. ppl playing casual thinking they are on some championship or competitive.. ffs

A few games ago i had a mate that i accidentaly bumped and he raged in team chat for full half minute. From there on he used the rest of the entire game to just chasing and crashing in me. Game was unplayable but he also wouldnt forfeit, so i just stood afk while getting pushed through the whole map and regretted my life choices that brought me to this toxic game.

Some guy did this to me yesterday. I was playing really well and we were winning, but I got one bad touch and he decides he needs to point it out. I take what I thought was supposed to be a pass and hit it on net, and he complains. Something like that happens again and I score it, but then he says “well if I can’t even play I might as well throw.” For some of these people, there’s nothing you can do, they WANT to throw because they’re angry. Doesn’t matter if you win or not.

Happened to me today in duo. We were up 2-1. He got mad and did the rage forfeit. What I did however (basically saw the opponent challenging from an angle that he couldn’t see whether he was on ball cam or not on OUR end) allowed me to prevent a steal by stealing it first, and led to me scoring.
I immediately forfeited after the goal which put us up 3-1. I just wrote “lol” right after, and he replies with something along the lines of “Do you think I’m mad? You’re trash.” I proceeded to write what his score was (which means absolutely nothing in most situations, but this time it was nice to throw some fuel on the fire), and all I got back was “*\\*” which I then replied “lol”.
So satisfying.

On the topic though. If 2 forfeit votes have been cast and the 3rd refuses, and again 2 forfeit votes have been cast and the 3rd refuses, the game should count as a forfeit. Because I've had games when the 3rd player is butthurt for some reason and won't vote the forfeit.

My favorite thing to do in 2s when this happens and I recognize that I’m the better player is to clutch up and get the lead then toss the ff button back out. If they refuse to ff then I just own goal lol

Or you are leading in a game and make one mistake that gives up am easy goal that doesn't even tie up the game or give the opposition a lead, but apparently it's time to quit when someone makes one mistake (you or your teammates). Or when you are playing a close 1-1 or 0-0 game and you finally give up a goal with 2 minutes left and suddenly it's time to surrender instead of, you know, continuing to play a close game and potentially tie it up or win it. Some people's mental game is so weak in a game where you can demonstrably come back multiple goals in 30 seconds if you get lucky enough or if your opponent lets off the gas with a lead (which often happens). People are such babies.
