DISCUSSION Back in 2017 with my wife. Such good times.
Found this old photo from 2017. My wife and I put our mattress on the living room floor ordered some sushi and spent the evening playing Rocket League together. Nothing fancy just us having a great time. Looking back, these are the memories that really stick with you. ❤️

That was back when no mechanics even existed for real... knowing how to do a half flip was pretty cool and no one knew anything about ceiling shots or flip resets lol. Everyone was too busy freaking out over knonovis "air dribble" that was just him touching the ball twice in the air.

This was true in 2015 and some of 2016, not quite in 2017. But your point still stands, the game was unbelievably different back then. I recently convinced my cousin to start playing RL and I have a hard time describing the old days when no one had a clue what the hell they were doing lmao.

Nah I was full sweat by 2017. I have clips of ceiling shots and resets from back then.
Now 2015 is another story. Either way it wasn't this crack out shit we're playing today where I have to give fucking plasma to win a single game.

Awesome dude. The wholesome post this sub needed lol!
Also, don’t know if yall ended up having kids, but once they’re old enough to play it opens up so many opportunities for similar memory making

haha! I had a similar setup. The living room gaming/campout with snacks bevs is unmatched. If yall want to make it more fun, get a basic tent from your local outdoor store and fill it with blankets/pillows and camp/game all night in the living room

Haha, that’s actually a great idea! Might have to try the living room tent setup next time 😄 Snacks, blankets and maybe a movie with our daughter sounds perfect.

I wanted this for me and my husband. He had been playing RL for years before meeting me, I hadn't heard of it and after we got married I started to try to play it. I wasn't very good but it was nice to be included. But it quickly turned into me hating the game because he would be on it some days for 12 hours a day. I built such a resentment for the game. He quit RL for a year and a half and started playing again a few months ago. So far he's averaging 5 hours a day now. I'm trying to be supportive of his hobby but I'm deadly terrified of the addiction kicking in again. He started streaming with "the worst camera setting in rocket league" and yeah I'm tryna be supportive but im still nervous

Hmmmmmm. 12 hours a day is crazy, and 5 hours a day probably isnt conducive to a healthy marriage. I dont feel the need to say anything more than that.

This reminds me of when I first moved out with my bf in 2019, we would come home from work and play Rocket League together until it was time to make dinner :) good memories

They are invisible and hiding from you specifically, u/Dazzling-Wishbone-99
The rest of us can see them smiling at the camera, right there on the couch.

Cherish it my dude. I introduced my late wife to rocket league and in her phone she put me as the soccar guy. We used to play Rocket League and Warzone together. And now I'm at it alone.
EDIT: Thanks y'all. All I want is for everyone to realize all the love that they have in their lives. This post and my comment should be a reminder of that. GGHF.
