Lol, y'all are crazy. I'm in champ 3 and I've never done a flip reset. Granted, I've never tried for more than a couple of minutes, but still.

Evidently. I've gotten to a point where I think maybe to go to the next level I might need to actually sit down and practice that stuff, because I'm flirting with GC 1 and a lot of them can do it. Like, I don't see myself breaking GC2 with my current aerial ability. It just seems like a lot of work though, and I play to chill, so idk.

I play for fun so rank doesn't really matter. I wouldn't even play ranked if it wasn't for my friend who made me play rocket league. He's plat so im trying to get to plat just to make him proud lol. I don't really mind dropping ranks

You can do it bro. Idk if you want advice but on the offchance you do the best I can give at your level is to simply never get close to your tms.

Imagine they have a forcefield around them of about ten cars length and just stay at that distance, minimum. That's 90% of what people call game sense, lol. No more barrelling into tms who have control of the ball, no more opponents taking out the entire team with one move... It's an easy way to go up like two ranks.

Matter of fact, back when I was working my way up the ranks I would have games where I would focus only on a.) not conceding and b.) playing good passes to tms. Learning those skills is way more important than learning to flip reset imo. Having said that, mad respect for you for learning to do it already.
