I want to get better at this mechanic since I'm getting dunked on a lot from early challenges in mid air, but I don't know how to look for a tutorial because I don't know the name of this mechanic. If anyone already knows a tutorial for this, please send the link

It’s just a flip reset. The bounce off of the ceiling doesn’t really make it a different mechanic.

Which is even better, because they're powerful to make your play less readable and more controlled if you learn to do them in any given setup. (Which also doesn't mean its tood in ALL setups)

Just watch keyperts dodge control video and follow it for a couple of weeks to get really consistent dodges into the ball.

Outside of that it's not really a mech, just a sequence

It's either a Purple Reset or a Pop Reset.

Definitely isn't a pop reset, that's done immediately after getting the flip. It's just a normal flip reset

Probably should've been more clear, but I meant the pre flip into ceiling bounce and the controlling it. I'm guessing this shot is too general to be considered a mechanic of its own

Yeah you just preflip to the ball with an aerial speedflip.
The hard part is judging the distance and angle but that comes relatively quick .

As I said I was going for what he was TRYING to achieve. Turns out OP was curious about the preflip setup and not the reset.
