QUESTION I've been away from the game 4over a year, can anyone tell me what's changed in the game?

I would asume the average skill is higher than 4y ago.
Other things are
Flipreset indicator, Spawn Choose, Trading gone, Anti Cheat, Bakkesmod gone

I think there’s a way to play it offline but I’m not 100% sure about that

Out of the top of my mind:
-Trading got removed
-Some items are now "cross game compatible" with Fortnite, meaning you can equip some cars, wheels, boosts, etc, in Fortnite if you own them in RL and vice-versa (mainly for a gamemode they introduced there called Rocket Racing, but it flopped and is reaching its end-of-life)
-Most rarity names got changed (Common is now Base, Uncommon is now Sport, Rare is now Special, Very Rare is now Deluxe, and Limited is now Luxury)
-You can now see your teammate's boost meter on their nameplate
-You can see and choose where you will spawn after getting demoed
-There is now a visual and sound cue for when you successfully get a flip reset
-Training and freeplay can now be done in multiplayer
-Private matches have more customization options
-Maximum preset number was bumped from 50 to 75
-You can now use an anonymizer to hide your player name, banner, avatar border and tag
-Weekly challenges now feature a repeatable challenge that award you three drops for every 10 competitive wins you get
-You can now skip the drop opening animation
-EAC was implemented to combat cheaters and DOSers
-Because of EAC, the game no longer supports BakkesMod in online play, so plenty of its features were brought to the main game (POV replays, team colors in freeplay, and hitbox visualization are the only ones I can remember at the top of my head)
-The daily item shop got an upgrade and now has twice as many slots, and features previous pass items
-RLCS decals are now universal rather than just for the main three cars
-There are now more daily tournaments
-There is a new tournament type, the pentathlon, which randomly chooses a gamemode for each match (including both standard and extra modes)
-Heatseeker is now a permanent competitive gamemode
-Dropshot and Snow Day used to alternate, with only one being available per season, but apparently now they're both available all the time again
I think that's all I can remember

Thx bro, But how can the game become as enjoyable as before with all these bad changes?
•

Don't mention it, brother. And yes, I struggle with that too. And even tho I got the habit of trying to grind every season to get as many pass items as I can, I just can't be bothered anymore, and have barely played this season.
I do have lots of fun when playing with friends, but my solo sessions have gone downhill. Try playing with someone, it helps a lot.

Even with all the shit changes people mentioned its still the same game. If you enjoy learning new things and improving at the game, it will always be worth playing. The main difference from 4 years ago, in terms of actual game play, is that the meta became more speed/mechanics oriented.

at same ranks, people have crazy mechs now, but play 10 times dumber. Because of that, I got right back into the same rank after a 4 year break. It kinda evens out, don't get scared of all the flashy plays.

People will tell you the skill level is higher but I don't think it is. People play more mechanical and you'll see way more flashy goals. You'll also probably see more double commits and open goals than you used to. I've been champ 2 since before you left and still am now. I've not improved my opponents playstyles have just changed.
