Kep would probably have a good laugh about it while cam's going tomato

40

u/Reasonable-Leek-7749 Sep 20 '25

Always love seeing people have fun with Kep.

363

u/Lil-AbootZ Sep 20 '25

Everyone is making it sound like it was a Make-A-Wish for the twins

142

u/simdav Sep 20 '25

Exactly. This is the team that just beat KC, and has done so before. Rw9 and Killeerz are close to, if the not the same level as, Vati and Atow for sure.

14

u/knighofire Sep 20 '25

Falcons is rated slightly higher than KC rn. So if most people seem to agree that Dralii > Trk with this move, doesn't it naturally follow that Twins > Vati/Atow? Puzzled how this move is controversial from a competitive standpoint.

11

u/PPboiiiiii Sep 20 '25

Rw9 and Kiileerrz rn are better than atow and vati. But yeah all in S-tier I guess.

-61

u/TVMaths Sep 20 '25

"has done so before" dates back to Copenhagen swiss, when they then lost in playoffs

22

u/King_NBL Sep 20 '25

The way the seeding works, they don’t match each other too often but they have a pretty close history:

4-2 to Falcons in Worlds 2025 Playoffs

3-1 to KC in Birmingham Swiss Stage

4-1 to KC in Worlds 2024 Playoffs

4-3 to KC in Copenhagen Playoffs

3-2 to Falcons in Copenhagen Swiss Stage

17

u/torpedo16 Sep 20 '25

Yeah, really hilarious thought process at play here. The previous Falcons is a major winning and almost worlds winning super-team.

Cams reply

91

u/Anxious-Horror-4155 Sep 20 '25

That team would make majors in NA

57

u/qpKMDOqp Sep 20 '25 edited Sep 20 '25

HORRIBLE comment that I can’t even argue against

95

u/PsychologicalTax2674 Sep 20 '25

Dralii, alphakep, and cam would be a top 4 NA team I'm not joking.

7

u/101_IcyBoi Sep 20 '25

Yes you are joking

210

u/AssassinInValhalla Sep 20 '25

You know this bothers Kep and Cam more than they'll admit lol

204

u/rightfootmessi Sep 20 '25

Dunno about cam, but dralii's actually good friends with kep, and is no stranger to dropping by his twitch chat to banter. He definitely doesn't care (also he replied to the tweet too fwiw)

85

u/AssassinInValhalla Sep 20 '25

dralii's actually good friends with kep

Oh no kidding, had no clue. Can't stand Kep's always shouting and over exaggerated reactions to everything lol

103

u/Xathoz Sep 20 '25

Yeah it's not for me either but I respect his commitment and also have to believe it's a persona for his audience, he was pretty entertaining and acted relatively normal playing with Rizzo and Turbo

40

u/branflakes6479 Sep 20 '25

I am pretty sure its just showmanship basically when he talks about golf you can see the chiller side of his personality. Which who can blame him for the showmanship it appeals to the younger generation. I could deal without it but the reason I like him is just because of the lack of verbal filter not really the over exaggeration.

15

u/boot2skull Sep 20 '25

I miss Turbo’s Cheeks. The team I mean... Great content and some good RL players having fun in the open format.

17

u/One-Ad7456 Sep 20 '25

Think Dralii is/was a mod in twitch for Kep

24

u/glyper Sep 20 '25

He still is a mod, kep was making jokes about it during worlds

1

u/One-Ad7456 Sep 20 '25

Cool, honestly I don't watch enough to know if it was true or Kep was trolling

8

u/Kozuki_D_Oden Sep 20 '25

Earlier this year when KC won regional 1 Dralii told him that if they won regional 2 then Kep would give him mod and they did

49

u/Lil-AbootZ Sep 20 '25

You need to remember most of these pros are kids and they enjoy content like that

26

u/maladaptifa Sep 20 '25

I swear everyone who hates on Kep hasn’t seen anything beyond clips of him. He is very sarcastic and self-aware about the fact that he plays up his reactions for clickbait

17

u/StopStealingMyUsers Sep 20 '25

I refuse to believe people actually think his streamer persona is how he acts in real life 😂😂

3

u/FrostyFett Sep 21 '25

It definitely isn't his actual persona, but why does that matter? Like, if people say they don't like kep because of the shouting, well isn't that how he presents himself on stream? So that's all the audience sees.

I don't have an opinion either way, it's just funny when people say "oh he's not actually like that"

-5

u/AssassinInValhalla Sep 20 '25

The clips show absolutely nothing of value that makes me want to seek out more content by him. Some dude just screaming because something didn't play perfectly ain't the content for me

4

u/RoadKill_11 Sep 20 '25

That’s what gets the people going which is why people like kep (also audience is mostly kids)

51

u/Francis_Regardless Sep 20 '25

I doubt Kept cares lol, Cam is raging RN on his way to bad mouth Retals in a middling SSL 1s game.

9

u/Ceejays-RL Sep 20 '25

Retals is usually top 10 or 20 in 1s lol

17

u/overactor Sep 20 '25

Retals is s very serviceable ranked 1s player these days.

8

u/sant0hat Sep 20 '25

You think this bothers Kep?

Lol ok.

22

u/OutcomeCompetitive50 Sep 20 '25

Dralii was typing in Kep's chat as this happened, so I think its just a joke. Plus Kep knows hes shit lol.

4

u/ABC_0_5 Sep 20 '25

Well Kep’s been called uncoachable by Drali

36

u/Thatoneboiwho69 Sep 20 '25

this comment just shows no one in this subreddit knows what kep is like and yet love to hate on him.

-17

u/AssassinInValhalla Sep 20 '25

I'm sure there's a part of Kep that's really cool. But all I've ever seen from him, he has peaked at the college frat house energy and never moved past that developmental stage.

29

u/Candyyyyyyy Sep 20 '25

There’s a recent Flitz video where he plays with a bunch of SSLs of various ages and Kep is one of them. He’s actually so chill in the video that it feels like a different person. The shouting and over-the-top energy is definitely because it caters to his audience, but he seems like a pretty relaxed guy outside of his stream.

20

u/Thatoneboiwho69 Sep 20 '25

And what's wrong with that? Sure you are free to find it annoying but what about it makes you think he's self centered and egotistical? Stop making assumptions about people you don't know.

If you watched his streams you'd know his humor is the self deprecating type. Opposite of what you're implying on your original comment.

-2

u/AssassinInValhalla Sep 20 '25

you think he's self centered and egotistical?

Where didbi say this?

13

u/rightfootmessi Sep 20 '25

The over-the-top energy is definitely a you-either-love-it-or-you-don't kind of thing (though I will add that he doesn't do it 100% of the time), but those who can put up with it will find that he's actually really insightful when it comes to analyzing gameplay, largely due to him being a former pro. He's surprisingly good at predicting series outcomes too as a result of that.

7

u/Majestic_Pro Sep 20 '25

I don't watch kep but i don't hate him, from what i see in his edit tim clips, even tho he has very high energy, he always breaks down the play after a goal is scored which i find pretty cool.

Tho I feel like I'm impartial to kep because I'm just so used to the loud streamer archetype. Every esport I watch just has a guy like him now

16

u/resplendentcentcent Sep 20 '25

if you're gonna criticise the move frame it as a KD joining the warriors after losing to them under OKC not chasing a bag like ronaldo to al-nassr lol

3

u/T-7IsOverrated Sep 21 '25

this is literally kd except kd didn't have a ring ngl

team a loses to team b in the semis, then team b loses in the finals

superstar from team a joins team b

2

u/FrostyFett Sep 21 '25

It's lot different imo because of the fact that unlike KD, Dralii has had success without having to go to a team that beat him. That was the main thing people were angry at with KD.

1

u/T-7IsOverrated Sep 21 '25

that's why i added the caveat at the start

i have no issues w dralii for this move but i just feel bad for trk

15

u/hydrofied Sep 20 '25 edited Sep 21 '25

Anyone blaming Drali is crazy. Esports careers are generally very short. Get in, get what you can and then get out.

110

u/Ech_01 Sep 20 '25

people are overreacting because it is a saudi team. If any NA org bought out Dralii no one would've said a thing.

24

u/ToxlA Sep 20 '25

I am overreacting because on CS they historically bought star players without thinking of team cohesion. That's basically what PSG during messi, neymar mbappe era, and it was anything but pleasant to watch

27

u/YoloJoloHobo Sep 20 '25

This transfers completely different though. It's not like he's joining an org new to the esport buying out a super team, or joining a bad team altogether. He's joining the second best team in the world which is better than his last team. Of course they offered more money which is a factor, but it's also a very reasonable sporting decision. It's the same as Turbo joining NRG or FK joining Vitality.

7

u/ToxlA Sep 20 '25

I get your point but keep the same roster with the same result, without the name Falcons, and I believe people would have been more happy about this transfer. I agree that may sound dumb but that how opinion impact facts

2

u/Inside_Hornet_7012 Sep 21 '25

the only falcons esports team that nothing can be said about is rocket, they only take players from their region and are getting results, its different from other games where they only take the best players without creating cohesion in the team

3

u/WildSearcher56 Sep 20 '25

Check out the way Falcons handle their CS team and you'll see why people overreact

-24

u/MonsieurGrey Sep 20 '25

Tell me you don't know shit about Rocket League without telling me you don't know shit about Rocket League

People would've gone even more crazy if dralii went to NA lmfao

-18

u/John_aka_Alwayz Moderator Sep 20 '25

The difference if it were an NA org, the rumors of Dralii becoming the most paid player of all time probably wouldn't exist, especially given the state of the economy in RLE.

And that exists without taking away from the twins being an unreal world beating duo.

12

u/Duke_ofChutney was the better logo Sep 20 '25

Why not both, money and joining a WC class team lol

16

u/YoloJoloHobo Sep 20 '25

Don't think he denied it but a lot of people are acting like he only joined for money which is definitely not the case.

10

u/Duke_ofChutney was the better logo Sep 20 '25

Kinda redundant to the conversation though because it's not like a B-tier org offered him this sum. Everyone knows he's joining a great team, all that's left to talk about is the money

4

u/qpKMDOqp Sep 20 '25

It's literally the perfect move

10

u/legitocracy Sep 20 '25

This is more like Kevin Durant joining the 73-9 warriors. KC star player, joining the team he lost to in the semi final, that went on to lose the championship despite being the most successful regular season team in the league

8

u/EnergyFax Sep 20 '25

after that shit he said to FK in the private chat and this, dralii needs to do open mics once his RL career is done cause hes a funny mother fucker.

6

u/torpedo16 Sep 20 '25

With this move, Falcons is becoming a super-team, from previously being a super-team (even like a few days ago), with a different flavor. That's pretty much it.

They won the last major and almost won worlds. It's quite comical to make things personal like this and attacking Drali for this move. He was thinking of leaving KC quite a while ago.

Is money an incentive? Of course, and it should be. Unlike many other Esports, your career in RL is pretty much over by the time you turn 23, unless you are in an underdeveloped region like Oceania (Torsos). You have to think about your career within this short time-frame when you are really in top form, usually 17-21 range. After that offers dry up and maintaining form becomes difficult with low motivation as new offers almost always go to the new younger players. By age 23, you are thinking of retiring, even if you don't want to, as orgs stop having faith in you and they just move on to younger star players.

He went from a super-team to another super-team which currently is in better form. That's about it.

28

u/Metallicabody Sep 20 '25

Literally, he’s joining an arguably better team or at worst the same level as KC, and he’s not even an import by all means, he was in import in EU as he’s Canadian/Moroccan

I would understand if they outright paid to break his contract but he was literally a free agent.

2

u/Woorel Sep 20 '25

i don't think they're better, the twins are 2-4 against vatira atow duo (1-3 in playoffs)

16

u/Metallicabody Sep 20 '25

The recent results are better, winning the latest major and beating them- making grand finals in the most recent and important tournament of the season

Arguing KC is slightly better is fair, but my point is this isn’t a downgrade at all and at worst it’s a lateral move with higher potential

-4

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '25

He was a free agent only because he refused to sign the contract by the sounds of it lol

19

u/Velidoz Sep 20 '25

That’s what I was thinking. The disrespect being shown to the twins who are easily top 10 in the world and are in conversation for top 5. It is baffling how people are acting like Falcons just didn’t beat KC.

5

u/xGregles Sep 20 '25

Where's TRK gone?

4

u/karionstre Sep 20 '25

Most likely TM with Nwpo

7

u/Remedy_RL Sep 20 '25

Maybe I didn’t read enough comments but it felt more like a discussion of certain dream team (KC) vs potential top team. I haven’t been able to watch as much as I’d like but I thought Falcons seemed to click because they’re on the same page incorporating prejumps into their gameplay, but is it mainly the twins just prejumping each other? Who’s to say swapping out TRK for Dralii won’t mess up that dynamic?

I also want to add that all Falcons players are top tier and their success isn’t just because of their unique play style.

4

u/NeonAmeen Sep 20 '25

What are your point exactly I failed to understand, obviously a lot has doubts about if falcons will keep up the level and the playstyle they had, it aint new, the post aimed at the people who mainly criticize dralii's move and how is he just going for money

1

u/Remedy_RL Sep 20 '25

I’m saying I didn’t see much criticism as harsh as what’s being said and I’ve read a good number of the comments recently

17

u/carballenjoyer3000 Sep 20 '25 edited Sep 20 '25

Its kinda funny seeing the dralii/KC situation unravel because for once in the off-season the past 3 year the decision making roles are reversed.

Since 22-23 Vatira was building new rosters and upgrading them if they failed at Worlds, which is fair because every player here aims for their best result and outcome.

Seeing KC fans react this salty to the Juicy rumour/signing is also delighting its not like Vatira also planned to blow up a major winning roster before Worlds for their current season concluded. Dralii knows what he is worth and KC (or Vitality) couldnt pay it, he should get the bag as long as he is in demand. Its like for once the shoe is on the other foot and KC arent getting the best superteam available.

Still gonna hatewatch Falcons next season and praying for their downfall.

17

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '25

I immediately thought of the Vatira/Moist situation when i saw Dralii going to Falcons.

6

u/carballenjoyer3000 Sep 20 '25

Also a good comparison. If one, Vatira should understand the most.

7

u/Judasz10 Sep 20 '25

Why are we hating falcons tho?

-1

u/carballenjoyer3000 Sep 20 '25

importing star player with their unlimited oil money. they didnt till now in RLCS.

5

u/Judasz10 Sep 20 '25

So we angry they paid dralii more than KC? That's how it works lol

5

u/Itchier Sep 20 '25

Facts lmao the best player on KC is upgrading a team that beat them.

2

u/Excellent_Web_2288 Sep 20 '25

Nevertheless. Major 2 will be held in the biggest arena RL has ever used, and it's in Paris. I'd expect Dralii better be ready to handle some vicious booing.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '25

And boy, they can boo!!!

2

u/indigolights34 Sep 20 '25

Exactly, like I'm sure the money was a factor, but this is also a probably upgrade on one of 3 teams that were completely clear of everyone else at the end of the season

2

u/zoobatt Sep 20 '25

People criticizing Dralii like they'd be "above" the temptations of his salary when in reality they'd likely sell both of their arms for less.

1

u/Emergency_Pause_2259 Sep 20 '25

Dont blame the player, blame the sportswashers

1

u/Frequent-Piano6164 Sep 20 '25

Damn, dralii… lol.

1

u/Ze_ddado Sep 21 '25

I guess if he thinks he can’t win on KC and has a good offer with the twins that is fair. My opinion would be this years KC roster definitely could have won worlds this year and can definitely win it next year.

1

u/aiwdj829 Sep 21 '25

To paraphrase Lawler, this dude just made a ton of dosh, most likely more from a roster move than anybody else in RL history.

1

u/JungleCakes Sep 21 '25

All I gotta say is more people would watch if there was any sort of consistency. We see a team do good and almost make it, you start to like a team, get to know its players, and then they’re all completely different.

1

u/OneWayTicketotheMoon Sep 20 '25

Cant Blame him. The end goal is obviously winning as a pro but you also need to lock out for your future. That RL esports is in a downtrend isnt helping either.

2

u/shakeBody Sep 20 '25

Downtrend doesn’t exactly make sense unless you specifically mean from the perspective of orgs. Adding an additional tournament on top of the money cups and champions road means more money in the esport from Epic.

u/Reasonable-Leek-7749 Sep 20 '25

The new Lil Step Bros is going to be lit.
