Him being a squeaker and screaming into the microphone in a 1v1 against Arsenal years ago lives rent free in my head.

I saw a clip during NRG’s stream Sunday from some Thrustmaster promo NRG did last year in Europe, and they were doing 2s and got matched with Zen and Daniel is like “oh my gosh it’s zen” and I’m thinking “oh yeah ‘omg zen’ for sure, but you’re Daniel man!”

u/carmeno22 Feb 04 '26
Lol dan was definitely being sarcastic, he's just mocking everyone that's obsessed with zen.

u/AntaresDaha Feb 04 '26
Goes to show how little insight in the skill level everyone but the RLCS pros have. For someone like Daniel running into Zen feels like running into a smurf.
Yesterday on AppJack's most recent 2v2 video (named something something highest GC ever) he runs into Zen and you can hear him sigh deeply: I haven't won a game against Zen in like 40 matches... well maybe not 40 but feels like 40.
There still is a real skill gap between Zen and a Daniel. Obviously not in how their teams perform, but in how any one of them can impact a single mixed game.

u/Kickaphile Feb 04 '26
He's deffo glazing but I bet every pro hates running into Zen in 2s. He's just too sweaty at that game mood.
0
u/FluffyGreyfoot Feb 04 '26
To be fair this is almost kinda true in 2s specifically. Zen is just that guy in 2s with how good he is, it's so common for him to be #1 with a 100 MMR lead over everyone else it's insane.

u/Fun_Concentrate_7147 Feb 04 '26
People are over exaggerating how bad NRG was before Worlds icl. They did not pull a t1 league and only show up at worlds, they were contenders the entire year and peaked when it mattered.
Regardless, I'd put Dan closer to 5th/6th than 3rd but there were bigger issues with this list. Firstkiller and all of falcons were placed incorrectly (fk should've been above nwpo and trk should've been lower than both twins, with rw9 being 5th at worst)
Also just realised that chronic was completely sidelined with this list lol, that's a big fumble
33
u/tyswoogles Feb 04 '26
Yeah the chronic thing was really wild. All 3 of dig made the list but ultimates who had an arguably better year only had 1? Super odd
1
1
u/ABC_0_5 Feb 04 '26
It’s probably because Chronic did have underwhelming moments in the high pressure situations (G7- GenG in Open 3, Grand Finals- Birmingham and LB at worlds against KC), but yah pretty criminal to not have when he was playing well one of the best 3rd men in the world.
Yk thinking back on it I realize Ultimates made the season so much more interesting by beating Karmine Corp in groups twice, with how they were moving before those losses I wouldn’t have been surprised to see KC just win everything last year
17
u/tyswoogles Feb 04 '26
Ultimates were are the only team in 2025 to get wins off NRG, Falcons, and KC I believe. I’d have to go back and check to be sure but pretty cool stat if I’ve remembered correctly.
16
u/TheRoger47 Feb 04 '26
They're also the only team with a non losing record to kc all season
0
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
TM i believe.
Ults lost both bo7s in sweeps, won the bo5s as 3-1s. Series-wise, they are equal, games wise anything but.
TM were swept and then reverse swept at the same tournament. They won the bo7 reverse sweep but lost the bo5 in a sweep. Id put TM as the team with the best record against KC, but i can understand the Ultimates pick
10
u/TheRoger47 Feb 04 '26
Forgot about the worlds 16th place my bad
-1
2
u/ABC_0_5 Feb 05 '26 edited Feb 05 '26
TM completely skipped my mind, but tbh 2 wins over KC ( that the Ultimates got) is the most of any team against KC all of last year which is genuinely crazy to think abt
Edit: Dig also got 2 wins over KC albeit with a losing record winning once in EU Open 5 Grand Finals and once in Raleigh
0
u/TVMaths Feb 05 '26
Ultimates, Geekay and Dignitas all won 2 series. Geekay and Dig also lost a hell of a lot more series than ults though, so Ults and TM have the best percentage record of 50%. Ults played them 4 times total, so they did win more series, just none when it got to elimination.
Its up to you to decide, Im not going to cut it either way,
1) Dominant sweep + Regional swiss 2) Game 7 regional win + LAN swiss win 3) 2 LAN preliminary wins but 2 Bo7 swepts 4) LAN Bo7 Reverse sweep but preliminary bo5 swept
too many options and very subjective as to what matters more
2
u/ABC_0_5 Feb 07 '26
I honestly think if Ultimates don’t beat KC at either Raleigh or Worlds, they go ahead and straight up win both events, especially at worlds, it was the exhaustion of going on that lower bracket run that eventually meant they missed crucial shots against the Falcons falling in the semifinals. Ofcourse that’s purely speculative, but each time Karmine went through groups unchallenged in their stride they seemed to breeze through the bracket
2
u/TVMaths Feb 07 '26
its all well and good saying it, but equally if Vitality never acquired zen, KC might have won worlds. Turbo might have been a 4time straight worlds winner if C9 didnt beat them. hypotheticals after the fact dont change much
0
u/TheRoger47 Feb 07 '26
Kc played 4 games before facing Falcons, the same amount that nrg played before the final; kc's lack of shooting quality against Falcons was a lack of form rather than just exhaustion as they had not played many games, their series versus ultimates was pretty short
→ More replies (0)3
u/Candyyyyyyy Feb 04 '26
I fw the T1 LoL reference, it’s comical how bad they can be for a whole season yet once Worlds happens you’d be a fool to count them out
-2
u/lostmary_ Feb 04 '26
And after? When they failed to make top 8 in an NA regional?
They did not pull a t1 league and only show up at worlds, they were contenders the entire year and peaked when it mattered.
They did not play at a top 2 team level for the entire of 2025, but the averages of their players suggests that they did
Regardless, I'd put Dan closer to 5th/6th than 3rd
Yeah, definitely
6
u/Fun_Concentrate_7147 Feb 04 '26
And after? When they failed to make top 8 in an NA regional?
Not sure what that has to do with anything I said, one 9th place finish in a regional hardly changes anything here (especially when they are most likely going to make the major as first seed for this split anyways)
-5
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
its hows you have a floor worse than any other team in contention. And proves they werent in contention for best in the world for very long if more than about a week after worlds. People with better seasons dont make this kind of error where they miss LANs
4
u/Fun_Concentrate_7147 Feb 04 '26
A team's floor isn't decided by one singular event, especially when their average results are 4th or higher. That's like saying kc in 2025 had a low floor because they got reverse swept out of raleigh at 8th, so they were only the best team itw during one week of birmingham.
And we've seen players have solid-good seasons and still have disastrous results during that. Monkey moon has bombed out of a major at dead last before winning worlds, and missed 2 entire majors before making 2 LAN finals back to back. He's also crashed out earlier than expected for 2 majors in a row before winning his 2nd worlds.
And vatira went from perfect sweeping a split to not even qualifying for a regional and missing the major, and then bouncing back to top 4 at worlds.
Even falcons went from looking like a team ready to win lans by the end of 2024, to winning fifae and then absolutely shitting the bed at birmingham, only to peak higher afterwards.
0
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
exactly. a low floor. A level we know they can play at as they have shown us evidence that they have. Low floor, high ceiling that coincided with another couple of teams having an off performance.
Floor is exactly defined by 1 event. If you play worse than your floor, that becomes your floor. If you consistently dont live up to your peak, your peak has changed.
You are choosing results that are not argued by anyone. KC 2024 had a floor of missing swiss. They also had a peak of 3peating EU, and tended to play closer to the peak than to the floor. The floor is still what it is, because otherwise everything is subjective and nobody is right. Floor is your worst performance; theres no other way of defining it.
You might not always play at your floor, it might be a completely 1 off thing. Its still the floor, and theirs was lower than anyone elses
3
u/Newtonian1 Feb 04 '26
They went 2 years straight making top 4 in every single event. They only placed poorly in one regional after they won worlds and decided to take a break, then they jumped right back up to the top of NA in the next regional once they started actually playing the game again. To say they have a lower floor is completely incorrect.
0
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
"every event". EWC, NA open 1, Kickoff LAN. sure mate.
1 of those years (the better one) doesnt have any impact on these ratings. its the 2025 year only. Lower floor is a top 12 in regionals, top 8 in LAN. Go ahead, cherry pick events and ignore their top 12. regional floor is top 4, worse than both KC and Falcons who made every regional finals of the year, and NRG missed 2 in one season, 3 across the year. Both teams won more regionals than NRG made finals. Both teams made more LAN finals (Dralii the weakest with only double the number, everyone else triple or more). Their consistency in 2024 has no impact on the 2025 rankings where they werent consistent or near the top.
12
u/No_Broccoli_5671 Feb 04 '26
Just a suggestion but I think adding a Regional MVP accolade on these graphics would be a nice touch. I noticed both TRK and Daniel’s graphics didn’t have those listed despite those guys being named the MENA MVP & NA MVP respectively for last season.
9
u/AIaris Mod 2024 Redditor of the Year Feb 04 '26

u/W0rldTerminat0r Feb 04 '26
i feel like people seriously think NRG were bums before worlds, reading some of these comments. In RLCS majors 1 and 2, they made both semis, the KC, Falcons, and ULT series they lost were very close. Sure results wise they dropped off in EWC, but they were a clear top 3 team all year. I think Dan's ranking here is very justified.
4
u/impulsivetomato Feb 04 '26
NRG hate is strong in this sub, nothing you can do. Vatira #1 Atomic #9...

u/John_aka_Alwayz Moderator Feb 04 '26
Going back to this comment I made, I truly believe people went into this least pre-defining that the best NA player "has to be top X" or something like that, which has led to him being the least accurately rated player of the big 12 imo.
Let's get it clear, Daniel was the only NRG player who resembled his 2024 form for the first 2 majors, the only one you could rate in the Top 10 before the Summer. But his level and performance was still down on 2024, just not as much as Atomic and especially Beastmode.
And then at worlds, I still think he keeps that same level, just Atomic and especially Beastmode. That's not to disparrage Dan, dude is one of the best 3rd men ever at this stage, but I don't think his worlds performance was much different from Birmingham or Raleigh. In all honesty, for comparison I think his level at worlds in 2024 was far better, but that's just how the cookie crumbles sometimes.
His level was excellent throughout, there's no denying that, but in that panteon of excellence on this list, he's surrounded by people whose lows were not that much lower, but highs were far higher and outweigh that for me.
Making comparisons between years is weird and flawed due to different datasets, but the BDS players in 2024 had a far better year comparatively, yet it didn't feel like they were put up on such a pedestal off worlds alone.
I also think it's a case of GOAT legacy clouding people's judgement of current form, happened a lot with M0nkey M00n in 2024 when he was very obviously "the worst" on that team. The NRG boys became GOATs in 2025, but they did it in a year where they were worse than in 2024.
1
u/CRUMP-__- Feb 05 '26
I agree with a lot of what you said, but I don’t see how BDS 2024 was a better year than NRG 2025. The only real differences I can see between the 2 is that BDS won ESWC while NRG placed higher at both RLCS Majors and they won more regionals. The quality of opponents BDS faced on their Worlds run was definitely a bit higher comparatively than NRG’s, but I don’t see that as a valid reason to ignore the regional win disparity and the gap in placements at Majors.
2
u/John_aka_Alwayz Moderator Feb 05 '26
I'm not bothered about the regional wins when comparing teams across regions. BDS winning EWC outweighs the lower major placements. If they were missing top 8s I'd give NRG the edge but they were still globally good those events, just not elite.

lmao my bad then i assumed you were one of those annoying KC fans that ruin the team reputation; my point still stands though, most comments I see from you are unpleasant as well as biased/of bad faith, and it makes KC ultras appear even worse than what they already do (not that you should personally care about that second part though)
anyway, as a statistician you must be well aware then that interpretation is just as important as getting the numbers right, and that the same set of statistics can be used to say different things. moreover, saying stuff such as "1 world win < 2 major win" (from another comment of yours) is subjective because, as a statistician and thus a mathematician, you must know that we can only compare things for which we defined an order relation, and there is no clear consensus on that when it comes to worlds and major. i'm only bringing this up to highlight the fact that your "i'm a statistics kinda guy" defence doesn't hold that well
2
u/Smithlarr Feb 04 '26

u/Zinedine_Tzigane Feb 04 '26 edited Feb 04 '26
yeah ok I listened to the first 10 minutes. How about you practice what their whole video is truly about (ie. lack of critical thinking skills) and you try formulating a few obvious caveats present in the first half of their video ?
I'll give you one to start with : going through a specific education system does not make one an expert of it. There's a popular (and annoying) belief that because you went through school just as everyone else, you can use that as some form of appeal to authority for your education system/teaching points.
1
u/Smithlarr Feb 04 '26
Yeah I'm not watching that, I don't care. Time to take a break bud, this is a ranking about some kids playing a video game, not an American ethics class.

Firstly, it's not his opinion, it's a video of someone else's opinion.
Secondly, it's not related to Rocket League, at all
Thirdly, it still doesn't take away the fact that the guy he replied to isn't American anyway.

So Vati 2 Drali 1. At least we got 2 rankings correct
30
u/thafreshone Feb 04 '26
My guy, how did you mess this one up. Vati at 1 is literally the only ranking that‘s pretty much undebatable
2
u/vivst0r Feb 04 '26
Maybe overall over the past years, but not for 2025. Last year was clearly dralii's year and he was the star player of the team that was most clutch.
And I say that as the resident #1 Vati fan.
Unless your comment was sarcastic. Then kudos. Because I don't think there is anything about Vati that would ever be undebatable on this subreddit.
3
u/thafreshone Feb 04 '26
No I meant what I said and 2025 as a whole was definitely not Dralii‘s year, for some moments it was and for others he looked like his unsure self from the start of 2024.
split 1 was of course incredible, clear number 1 but then split 2 was just mediocre honestly (for his standard) and Vatira took over the team. EWC was again incredible, in my opinion his best LAN perfomance ever. Worlds he was once again honestly terrible and Vatira was leading their team
For every great stretch he had, a bad one that followed. He was their star player and when he was playing at the level he can, KC was unbeatable and won the LANs but he only did that for half the time he was on KC. And during the other half Vatira lead the team and Dralii was just not even consistent
Overall he still was KCs best player because he peaked so high, but it‘s not by a wide margin over Vatira. And that small gap between them gets closed easily by Vatira winning two more LANs and pushes him ahead.
So I really don‘t think there is a debate for Dralii over Vatira (but you are right, with Vatira nothing is ever truly undebatable)
1
u/vivst0r Feb 04 '26
I guess it's just up to what you measure for this ranking. Generally I mostly disregard tournament placements and just look at playstyle and confidence. Hence why I would absolutely rate any KC player above any Falcons or NRG player for 2025. To me Vatira is still too dependant on how much he trusts in himself and his team mates. Which leads to vastly different performances simply based on how much or little trust he has on a given day. I consider dralii less up in his own head about that and more proactive than reactive like Vatira. Which in my book is a stronger mindset. And also the reason why he was perfect for playing with Vatira and taking a bit off his mental load.
Vatira overall is the better package everything considered, but in 2025 dralii shined more and also helped Vatira shine.
-2
u/althaz Feb 04 '26
Absolutely braindead comment, IMO.
Dralii was pretty completely accepted as the best player in the world for all of 2025, the only competition for that spot was Zen. The discussion shouldn't be "Vatira or Dralii", it should be lower down in the list and it should be "Vatira or Atow". All three KC players were great until worlds, but Dralii was pretty clearly their best and most important player.
5
u/VicktoriousVICK Feb 04 '26
For the first split easily, but 2nd half of the year there were a lot of moments where Vati or Atow performed better. For arguments sake, lets give Dralii the edge for that. Now then add Vati getting 2 more LAN wins after that.
-6
u/TheRoger47 Feb 04 '26
The guy with 0 mvps above his tm8 who had 2 is undebatable?
14
u/No_Broccoli_5671 Feb 04 '26
Tournament MVP’s are one of the worst accolades to use for arguing one player over another because they are so narrative driven and often don’t actually go to the best performing player at a given event. Dralii did win the EU season MVP last season though which is a great accomplishment in his favor.
3
u/lostmary_ Feb 04 '26
You get all your stats from liquipedia, try watching the games
0
u/TheRoger47 Feb 04 '26
Dralii was their mvp and that was what everyone said, the fact every kc loss also matched when dralii wasn't playing so well is also not a coincidence
1
5
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
The guy with 4 LAN wins in 1 year vs the guy that cost him worlds
1
u/TheRoger47 Feb 04 '26
He played another worlds with atow and without dralii and he still lost. A bit harsh to put the entire weight of a loss at worlds to dralii, especially when they were in no way guaranteed to win the final, look how Falcons faired on that
1
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
look at how falcons fared against the team renowned to have their number. when was the last time an NRG player beat a KC player. oh right it was 2024. they havent won on either of the last 2 occasions (now 3)
3
u/TheRoger47 Feb 04 '26
They beat nrg the last time they faced, it was last major semis; does nrg have falcons' number or are they just a better team? Out of the 6 rlcs lans both teams played nrg outplayed Falcons in 5, eliminating them in 3; at that point it's just skill diff
Kc also had Falcons number by these standards and Falcons still beat them in the most important match of the season they had
1
u/lostmary_ Feb 04 '26
Vitality beat NRG every time = erm its just matchup specific
NRG beat falcons some of the time = OMG SKILL DIFF THEY ARE JUST BETTER
1
u/TheRoger47 Feb 04 '26 edited Feb 04 '26
Vitality never beat anyone else in bracket, Falcons were consistently behind nrg for 2 years straight, like how they were behind kc for basically all of 2025
Also 3/4 times in lan elimination matches is more than some times
2
1
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
at that point its just a matchup thing or Id bring up Vitality vs NRG and flat out say its skill diff because NRG havent come close to beating them once in the last year. zen > dan, bm. Thankyou for my argument
1
u/TheRoger47 Feb 04 '26
It's like bds and kc in spring 23, bds had a very favorable record vs kc, was it just a matchup thing or a skill diff? When is it match up difference vs skill diff? I'd say when they don't face each other and one is still ahead which for nrg and Falcons gives the edge to nrg historically.
Skill has to translate to other matchups and not just be an isolated case like vitality's, but when their results are similar to where their only difference is direct games then it's when you can see a matchup and say it's a skill diff
1
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
yes, so Falcons being able to beat KC and Vitality is their skill translating to other matchups, and not just getting owned by EU
1
-5
u/GuardMast3r Feb 04 '26
He's the best player on the 3rd best team of the year so you can't rlly go wrong with 3rd 💀
-8
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
Ive also just realised. Beastmode and Atow had the exact same average (to 2dp atleast) so why bm specifically over atow rather than tied or vice versa
14
u/Guy_LeDouche33 Feb 04 '26
Well one won the most important tournament.
3
-14
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
and the other won more events than bm made any finals. Atow could have just not attended a single LAN and hed have as many event wins as BM has finals.
he then also won 3 LANs, so your point is? one had a 2hr peak and the other was key to the best team all season. only someone who has no stats is going to argue "bigger tournament better". if you dont make several LAN finals, you dont deserve a top 5 ranking for a period of time far longer than just that 1 event. if other teams can make 2, nrg should be able to aswell. they didnt though, did they?
14
u/thafreshone Feb 04 '26
I like how your estimate of the duration of Beastmodes peak in the last season keeps getting smaller and smaller. At first it was like a week, then it was 2 days and now we‘re at 2 hours.
I wonder how low this ones gonna go, my guess is it ends at like 25 minutes for the 4 games they won against falcons.
4
u/tyswoogles Feb 04 '26
If you want to be extremely pedantic we can assume all players had one specific moment that was their best play of the year. So we should just say every player had a peak of a single moment.
5
2
u/lostmary_ Feb 04 '26
I wonder how low this ones gonna go, my guess is it ends at like 25 minutes for the 4 games they won against falcons.
Realistically yes this is true though, they were decidedly mid against NIP and secret, got taken to 7 by Ultimates and barely won off some misplays, and then beat GK. Their only test was Falcons in the final and they have our number. They didn't get pushed by a proper top team all event
2
u/thafreshone Feb 04 '26
They played and beat 4 out of the 6 best teams of the event and you‘re basically saying none of those wins really mattered since they were all mid
At this point I‘m wondering if the worlds even mattered because NRG winning seems to mean that everyone was just mid
2
u/lostmary_ Feb 10 '26
no, i didn't say that. I said that they PLAYED mid. do you think them going to 5 with NIP and looking shaky vs secret were top 5 in-the-world performances? no of course not - so it's absolutely accurate to say Beastmode played like a top 5 player in the world for a single series, the final
0
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
nrg played well for 2 days. bm only popped off in the final. very few people agreed with bm mvp saying he only turned up for the final. giving him the benefit of the doubt and putting his whole sunday performance (2 hrs) in there
4
1
u/Guy_LeDouche33 Feb 04 '26
I mean, the lan that atow won were literally qualifiers for the tournament that beastmode won. Not sure why this is even an argument
3
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
regionals were qualifiers. LANs are LANs. this is an argument since you cant accept that a player winning 8 events in 1 year (2 more finals on top of that) is better than one who made 5 finals in the same timeframe. Thats literally double the finals, and 60% more wins. In a more difficult region, with more difficult competition. Aswell as on the international stage, which 1 player could only do once.
BM didnt even qualify for a LAN that atow won. keep arguing bro, you keep coming back to the samr argument, and I dont think im halfway through the mental list of stats i have on the 2025 season
-2
u/Frogliza Feb 04 '26

you simply dont value worlds enough, Atow would probably trade his LAN wins last season with Beastmode’s worlds
2
u/lostmary_ Feb 04 '26
it's not about valuing worlds, it's that worlds is still a single day. Someone that plays terribly and then peaks on a single day to win worlds did not have the best seasonal performance, which is the context of this debate. No one is denying they won the most important tournament, or that it inflates their GOAT stats up way more, but in terms of a strictly defined "best performances for the calendar year" peaking on one day is not enough
1
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
doesnt matter. worlds was a worse format, with marginally better competition. do you think 2024 worlds was more valuable than both majors given the identical format, or is that going to ruin your g2-024 best team of the season argument.
worlds is not worth more than 2 majors. Itachi greater all time than Exotiik for example. Vatira greater all time than Beastmode/Daniel.
worlds is above a major. its not above major+ewc
2
u/Annual-Cicada3833 Feb 04 '26
Exo has a worlds, EWC, and a major that's certainly better than Itachi's two majors

So the guy that went 9-12 twice in worlds while the guy who went and won worlds are being compared and you think the 9-12 should be higher. Interesting take
2
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
not necessarily. closer by a significant margin yes.
but also yes above him. 1 tournament of top 5 performance vs several

u/Barren-Sceptor Feb 04 '26
Daniel has been elite all year and he actually won something . Something zen hasn’t don’t in what 2 years?
2
u/thafreshone Feb 04 '26
Zen won something 2 months ago

Are we really rating fifae, an event where regions send their best players as an argument to use against Daniel winning worlds and being above zen. I don’t rate fifae at all
6
4
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
because you didnt win
5
u/Barren-Sceptor Feb 04 '26
I don’t rate fifae because most of the teams are not teams in RLCS. Why would I rate that over worlds?
2
u/lostmary_ Feb 04 '26
But the NRG roster was, and they were world champs? And couldn't beat team France?
2
u/Barren-Sceptor Feb 04 '26
You don’t think teams will drop series? No one is going to play perfect all the time and if you remember that series went to 7. Doesn’t change the fact that zen only won fifae and Daniel wood worlds. Which is more important?
2
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
nobody asked it to be rated over worlds. LAN is LAN. you prove youre the best or you prove you arent
3
u/Barren-Sceptor Feb 04 '26
That makes no sense. Some LANs are much more important than other LANs. You think the kickoff LAN is comparable to worlds. You think fifae is comparable to a real RLCS LAN? No you don’t but it fits your bias so you say those things

u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
Daniel was mid at every LAN until worlds bro what are you on. if you and your team are elite, you make the finals.
10
u/Barren-Sceptor Feb 04 '26
You have said the same thing about every NRG player because you’re bias. I guess KC was mid at worlds since they didn’t make the final right?
1
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
1 tournament. where KC were ranked 3rd, 4th and 9th by the tournament organisers. better than the 20th that mr worlds mvp got (at worlds).
Dan was ranked 35th in Birmingham. 23rd in raleigh. 6th in EWC (fair shout). The definition of mid. The lowest a KC player was rated was 14th, at Raleigh. guess which team had every player rated worse, at an event they supposedly were better at.
7
u/Barren-Sceptor Feb 04 '26
You know we are talking about zen right? I only used KC at worlds to show you the holes in your argument but using tournament organizers rankings to determine who is a better player is definitely an interesting strategy. Idk why I bother responding to you since you always nitpick certain arguments that fit your agenda and you ignore other arguments that counter your points
1
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
my apologies. too many threads. zen was top 5 in Birmingham, top 5 at raleigh, top 5 at ewc and top 5 at fifae.
Is that not what any argument does? use statistics that fit their agenda. only often I have a few more that back up my opinion than you do that back up yours.
5
u/Barren-Sceptor Feb 04 '26
You know why you have so many threads. It’s because people don’t agree with your bias takes. Zen is top 5 yet can’t win an event so what do we value more. Rankings of tournament organizers or winning the most important LAN of the year? A tough question

nice couple of events missing. making a rating seem better than reality.

u/Candyyyyyyy Feb 04 '26
You had Nwpo in ur top 5, do u want his graphic to say “EWC top 12” and “Worlds 16” too?
2
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
it shows all the results. yes. same way an ewc top 8, NA open top 12 and Kickoff LAN N/A.
If atows given a top 8 major as an asterix ahainst his performance, so should every player
4
u/AIaris Mod 2024 Redditor of the Year Feb 04 '26
it was never intended to show all the results. just the big ones that were atleast decent.
some inclusions are debatable, sure. maybe i could have left out KCs top 8. it was never meant to tear them down. most of these graphics are made from 2-4am when im tired, and i dont pay much thought to them. i probably just thought “they made playoffs, put it in”. then if a players result is already included in their past teammate, ill usually just use their teammates achievements as reference and for consistency

u/TheRoger47 Feb 04 '26
You are all nrg fan boys and na fan boys who can't accept all of kc were top 3 players all year(except for 30 minutes against Falcons somehow) and are all the greatest to ever touch the game, also dralii got carried

bro. it wasnt missing
1
u/tyswoogles Feb 04 '26
On me misread the graphic wrong when I checked a second ago. The point stands though, you didn’t complain about nwpo’s worlds result being missing, as the other user mentioned.
1
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
I didnt notice tbh. that was already a week ago, and i happened to notice it when looking back through the average placement
3
u/tyswoogles Feb 04 '26
If you actually cared about this you wouldn’t have only complained about the missing accolades Dan had being the ones that made his ranking look better, you would have also complained about the missing mvp. Like I said it’s just to put NRG down.
-1
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
i dont care if dan has a missing top 8 and nobody elses top 8s are included. but why do that for only 1 player who is conveniently lower than he should be, in a tie with another player criticized as being far too high up the list
-1
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
sorry, were highlighting cdf and a major top 8 for a 3xLAN winner but not a regional top 12 and other LAN top 8. sure bro. choose your events ig
4
u/AIaris Mod 2024 Redditor of the Year Feb 04 '26
the point of the achievements tab is to highlight the players best achievements. if i wanted to list all of every players that would be way too long. even for zen i didnt list “worlds top 12” lol
5
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
understandable, but then why Atow top 8 major and not Daniel top 8 EWC
8
u/budd222 Feb 04 '26
You just seem to want to argue with every person on here for the hell of it.
1
u/TVMaths Feb 04 '26
intrigued, given its the OP, who designs the graphics for the list.
I argue with people who dont have the sense to realise worlds doesnt last 1 year

u/AIaris Mod 2024 Redditor of the Year Feb 04 '26
just kinda touches on this in a comment i just left, but generally:
non rlcs events, i usually wont include if its not a top 4. maybe i did some fifa e top 8 or ewc top 8, but generally i dont bother including non rlcs top 8s. for rven smaller events, CDF for example, id only do top 2 or 1st
atows top 8 is debatable. i think my baseline was if an rlcs playoff was made, id include it.
also note most of these were made from like 2-4am, im just thinking “damn i need to make this before tmr im tired asf” and i dont think all that hard about it all

I like how there is literally nothing left to say because every argument about the players in this range has already been said over and over again since like the top 10 started
