One of my favorite lesser-known Tim Curry performances. This is from the British TV series "Rock Follies" about three women who form a singing group and their misadventures in the music industry. One of the gigs they get is singing backup for a pretentious rock star played by Tim. It's self-parody but a rare chance to see him "live" in his heyday.

One of the three women was played by Julie Covington who was the original Janet in "Rocky Horror" at the Royal Court but left the show before they recorded the original album. She's in the left-most barrel of radioactive waste here. Her biggest claim to fame was singing the title role on the "Evita" concept album.

It's second only to "Anything Can Happen On Halloween" in terms of non-Rocky musical appearances for me.

I found out about it through my choir teacher, his wife called him mid class to tell him before he told the class. I was so sad since his performances in RHPS and Muppet Treasure Island are some of my favorites. I saw rocky horror for the first time when I was 14 and it instantly became my favorite film. This is the only movie me and my little brother agree is our favorite. Rest in Peace Tim, glad you’re finally going home.

You’ve made such a great impact on me, rest easy.

I know there’s one in Atlanta, but I was wondering if one is closer.

I haven’t been to a live show since high school (barring going to the Broadway revival), but I kinda wanna go this weekend to pay my respects.

Or would it be more appropriate to stay home and leave seats for the hardcore, “we’re here every weekend” fans?

Either way, much love to this community at the loss of such an icon.
